But in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet it has grown even easier to increase your odds of finding these rare, sparkling versions of these adorable creatures. From mass outbreaks to crafting sandwiches that tip the scales in your favor, it can be a fun, even if at times, frustrating way to spend your time in the Pokemon universe.

But what are the best shiny Pokemon you can find in the Indigo Disk DLC? Over 200 Pokemon are new and returning to the game and roaming the Blueberry Academy Biomes. So deciding which Pokemon you want to spend your time hunting for can be a challenge.

This list ranks shiny Pokemon in the Indigo Disk by appearance. However, it also takes the difficulty of hunting them into consideration.

10 Alolan Grimer/Muk

Bring A (Slimey) Piece Of Alola Home With You

The standard versions of Grimer and Muk are purple, but their shiny versions are a sickly green, so, the Alolan versions of Grimer and Muk were inversed. If you find them out and roaming the Academy grounds, although they have a rainbow slick effect, their base is green.

So, as you can guess, their shiny version pays homage to the normal versions by taking on that purple color. Not only does this make them look really cool, but the fact that the Pokemon Company used the opportunity to pay tribute to the original Grimer and Muk is pretty darn cool.

9 The Toucannon Line

If you’re part of the alphabet mafia (the LGBTQIA+ community), Toucannon might be higher on your personal list. If you aren’t, this is still a really cool shiny to capture.

The difference for Pikipek is hard to see as just their head plumage is pinkish instead of red. But for Trumbeak and Toucannon, it’s much easier to see which ones are shiny and sets them apart if you throw them out into battle.

8 The Kingdra Line

Horsea and Seadra’s shiny versions are not the most spectacular, but where they really shine is when you evolve this Pokemon into Kingdra. This normally blue, Dragon-Type seahorse is a brilliant shade of purple that commands the battlefield.

The catch (ha, because they’re fish), is that Kingdra isn’t just swimming around. You’ll have to catch a shiny Horsea or Seadra and then have someone you trust to trade them to.

7 Milcery/Alcremie

You may have been lucky enough to come across a shiny Micery while Pokemon was hosting special mass outbreaks featuring this Fairy-Type Pokemon. While Milcery themselves may not be the most impressive shiny, Alcremie is.

Alcremie is a mix of black and white but also takes into consideration what sweet you’ve given them to hold. Depending on that, not only do the sweets appear atop their head, but their eye color changes as well, so finding a shiny Milcery allows you to make that important design choice.

6 Lapras

A Shiny, Floating Island

Lapras is not all that different from Kingdra in terms of shiny color scheme. However, no trade is required to obtain this majestic Water-Type Pokemon, making it a more enticing option.

Lapras takes on a wonderful purple color and this shiny is incredibly easy to spot in the water. That makes hunting this shiny easier than some of the other Pokemon in the Indigo Disk Pokedex.

5 Minior

Now, this is a case of a struggle that’s worth it in the end. The Alolan Pokemon Minior, if you manage to capture it in its shiny Core Form, is absolutely stunning, even if it’s a bit hard to notice from afar.

Their core is black with the different core colors floating around inside the abyss, so to speak. But man, is it hard to find this little thing, since their outer shell hides the brilliance that’s inside.

4 Golet/Golurk

The Ghostly Iron Giants

The color scheme for these shiny Pokemon really leans into their Ghost typing. Their outer shell becomes a gray or silver color, but it’s the broken pieces of them that make Golet and Golurk so hauntingly beautiful.

The middle of their body turns a shade of black and their eyes and the symbols on them are turned a glowing green. It really makes it look like their ancient energy is showing.

3 Dewpider/Araquanid

Both of these Pokemon are easy to spot in their shiny forms and, unlike some other Pokemon, they have a very similar color scheme to each other. So if you like shiny Dewpider, chances are very high that you’ll like Araquanid too.

Their bodies turn black, their legs grow purple, and their eyes glow red. Whether you decide to take either of them into battle, offline or competitively, they look like killer spiders, ready for the fray.
