Xbox Game Pass is adding Spyro Reignited Trilogy to its ever-growing content library, Microsoft announced. This beloved trio of remakes promises to bolster the selection of high-quality platformers on Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft has owned the Spyro IP since it acquired Activision Blizzard in October 2023. And while some fans hoped Spyro Reignited Trilogy would immediately join the company's subscription service following the acquisition, Microsoft said it needed time to prepare the Activision Blizzard catalog for Xbox Game Pass.

It's now finally confirmed that the critically acclaimed trio will be coming to Microsoft's subscription catalogue, with the company just announcing it Spyro Reignited Trilogy will hit Xbox Game Pass on Tuesday, November 12. Since this remake collection is not a day-one release, it is expected that it will be available on all non-core tiers of the service. Microsoft has yet to clarify whether Spyro Reignited Trilogy will launch with Xbox Cloud Gaming support, although the company's track record with XGP releases suggests that will likely be the case.
Xbox Game Pass will soon have 12 Activision Blizzard games
Since this trilogy has three games, its arrival will bring the total number of Activision Blizzard titles on Xbox Game Pass to 12. Microsoft's previously added subscription service Diablo 4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (which also counts as three), Surveillance 2AND Call of Duty: Black Ops 6in this order. More recently, StarCraft: Remastered AND StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection hit PC Game Pass on November 5th. The Activision Blizzard library still has many popular titles that have yet to make the leap to Xbox Game Pass, including Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and before 2023 call of Duty installments.
As for arriving at your doorstep, Spyro Reignited Trilogy promises to be a big plus for the selection of great platformers on Xbox Game Pass. The trio of remakes developed by Toys For Bob originally debuted in late 2018 to strong reviews, as highlighted by its “Strong” OpenCritic rating, derived from an average score of 81 and a reviewer recommendation rate of 84%.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will wrap up the first wave of Xbox Game Pass releases for November 2024. The second part of this month's lineup is expected to be officially announced in the next few days. It is already known to include Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 AND STALKER 2two day-one titles arriving on the 19th and 20th of the month.
