Witch watch It is one of the best souls aired this season. It is not exactly a hidden gem because the series is available on several streaming services, but it is not attracting the attention it deserves.
Studio Bibury offers a good animation with a creative direction that merges well with manga humor. In episode 3, we could also have just started getting a little more than the plot of this story, which seems to use an episodic format to offer a wider narrative (but perhaps not such a great narrative).

Witch Watch fans should certainly check the following anime if they want a similar vision experience.
Boy, girl, magic and fashion
At the beginning of the episode, we get more potential romanticism between Nico and Moi. He is still trying to impress him in the hope that in the end they will start attending him, but Moi is not your average boyfriend. In fact, we learn that it has a unique sense of fashion and is interested in old European clothes.
In any case, although this is a fun part in which we get a little romanticism, it is not yet clear if Moi will eventually develop any type of romantic feelings for Nico, since it seems too concentrated on protection from danger.
The episode also clarifies it How much Nico is based on magic for everyday thingsFrom fashion to typical affairs and, of course, which can lead to problems. To be honest, we mainly learned spells that would be useful in routine situations, but the spell of the “pulp fashion” is only a hilarious concept.
We are still receiving a lot of references to other soul series, such as Hunter X Hunter, Golgo 13 AND Kochikame.
The disaster will happen Nico, or something like that
This episode also introduced Nico's mother, Ibuki Wakatsukimore correctly. We still don't know anything about his father, but the story could simply ignore it in both ways.
Ibuki now lives in the village where Nico was trained, Yuzenkyo. According to her, this place became the new “Holy Land” of the witches when they emigrated to Japan after several countries began to hunt the witches.
In reality he is trying to collect more details on the prophecy that provided that the disaster would have happened to his daughter. Ibuki is a witch specialized in prophetic magic, but it also explains that it needs a large amount of magic to obtain accurate information from the prophecies, and this is one of the reasons why it stays in Yuzenkyo.
Although this may seem less, a couple of scenes and the information provided could suggest that Ibuki is not so competent with prophetic magic. Well, knowing her daughter, we could imagine that she is clumsy at a certain level. As, What we know of the prophecy could be very different from what will really happen.
In any case, Ibuki has made a new prophecy on dogs and rain drops bringing a disaster. There are some events in the episode related to dogs and rain, but we are not yet sure that the new prophecy speaks (we will probably find out in the next episode).
“Unfinished” opening sequence
This week's opening sequence was a little different than usual. Instead of showing the regular sequence, what has been transmitted actually A draft version of the opening sequencethat will delight Sakuga Fans and other people interested in the animation process.
While some fans found it strange, it seems that they wanted to seem to be messed up by the opening with his magic.
What is the next Witch watch?
At the end of the episode, we were introduced to Kanshi Kazamatsuri. He is familiar to the crow of Nico, and is there to protect it, just like Morihito.
Kanshi is actually a tengu who lived in Yuzenkyo or in the nearby area when Nico was still training to become a witch. We will learn more about him in the next episode, at least according to the preview of episode 4.
