ATHENS: Dozens of firefighters battled on Saturday to prevent a fire from spreading to a nature reserve in a mountainous forest area on the outskirts of the Greek capital, the fire brigade said. About 80 firefighters supported by 10 water planes were trying to contain the blaze on Mount Parnitha, about 20 km (12 miles) north of Athens, which was fanned by strong winds, a fire brigade official said.
