Follow the road.
- Search existing villages like Segi and Enjiro.
-
Look near the banks.

The small events involving random traders, refugees, and minor enemy encampments reset with each seasongiving you a reason to explore the same areas again.
How to find a home for the new villagers
If you go to the dynasty tab in the main menu, you'll notice the maximum population you can currently hold, which It depends on the level of your dynasty and the number of villages you have. However, this does not mean the amount of space left in your village as you will still have to create a space for each villager you gain.
There is only one requirement for this: a bed. Each villager needs their own bed and you can create separate houses to create multiple beds in the same place or make production buildings, which are usually equipped with a bed. It is recommended to always have extra space in your village.
This is because most of the refugees you will interact with will be wandering and they will leave if you don't give them a place quite fast.
As your population grows, so will you unlocks more parameters that you will have to maintain. These include meals, heating, drinks, maintenance, health, safety, spiritual and luxury. The overall ratio between production and consumption of these parameters decides whether the happiness of your village will increase or decrease.
What to do with the new villagers?
Of course, you don't want to have more villagers in your dynasty only for them to eat all your food and do nothing. Every villager can be one assigned to one of the tasks created by the production buildings. They will then start producing one or more types of materials for you every day depending on where you place them.
When you get far enough into the game, you can also choose a romantic partner among these villagers and create your own family.
