Shown during Sony's recent State of Play, AstrobotsThe free DLC will be available in the game this fall, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed. Astro Bot's upcoming free DLC explained

Five new online speedrun levels

The real meat and potatoes of Astrobots', players will soon have access to five new levels, but they are different from all the levels that can be found in Astrobotsthe basic game of. These five new stages are all fast-paced levels that encourage the player to reach the finish line as quickly as possible.

Based on the trailer, it appears that players' speed will determine whether they can save the level's two bots. Throughout the level, players will be accompanied by a blue and a red bird. If the birds reach the end of the level before the player, they will apparently light a firework attached to a Bot, launching that character into deep space and preventing the player from saving them. To save both robots, players will have to finish the level before the two birds do.

Astrobots's DLC trailer has apparently already teased four of the five new speedrun stages. Fans can expect to see a frozen stage that has them wielding the elephant's backpack that can shoot platforms, a construction stage set in the clouds where players use the rocket-powered dog's backpack, a stage where players explore a series of watery waters. ruins with frog gloves and a trap-filled level that sees the player climbing with monkey gloves.
