UK leader vows tough action to end ‘far-right thuggery’ as violent anti-migrant protests spread

LONDON: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has strongly condemned Sunday's attack on a hotel housing asylum seekers, which left at least 10 police officers injured, one of them seriously, describing it as “far-right thuggery”, as further violence erupted across the country following a stabbing at a dance class that left three girls dead and several others injured. In a statement at 10 Downing Street on Sunday afternoon, the prime minister vowed that authorities would “do whatever it takes to bring these thugs to justice” and that justice would be swift.
