The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is finally here, giving players their first taste of what it's like to play as Zelda, rather than Link, for the first time in a mainline series The Legend of Zelda installment. During their time inside Zelda: Echoes of wisdomplayers will take advantage of the game's unique mechanics and improvise their path through Hyrule.

Despite the freedom that Zelda: Echoes of wisdom gives players, there are still several unwritten rules they should know before entering Hyrule. These unwritten rules apply to both exploration and combat Zelda: Echoes of wisdom and can help anyone on their path.

In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, pretty much anything goes

What it makes Zelda: Echoes of wisdom so unique is that, just like its predecessor, The tears of the Kingdomplayers can essentially make their own progression. This is achieved primarily through Zelda's Tri Rod, which is used to create echoes of the various monsters and objects found throughout Hyrule. Using object echoes, in particular, players can get almost anywhere, whether by stacking a series of beds together to create a ladder or using a flying tile to cross a large gap. There is almost no end to how players can reach their destination Zelda: Echoes of wisdomtherefore they should never limit themselves.

Acquiring the carrot echo can make traversal much faster

There are 127 Echoes to find and learn from Zelda: Echoes of wisdombut some, like the carrot echo, are much better than others. What makes the Carrot Echo so valuable is that it can be used to call Zelda's horse from anywhere in Hyrule, which will allow players to move around the overworld much faster than they could on foot. Getting the Carrot Echo is as easy as completing the “Still Missing” main quest, speaking to Impa in Hyrule Castle to receive the “Impa's Gift” side quest, and then using the Zelda League ability to pull a carrot from the land in the garden just northwest of Hyrule Castle Town.

Zelda's swordsman form should be updated as soon as possible in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom's Exploration

While it's definitely fun to summon echoes to assist in battle Zelda: Echoes of wisdomZelda is most powerful when using her Swordsman form, which is obtained a little later in the game's story. Zelda's Swordfighter form functions similarly to The tears of the Kingdomof Master Sword as players can only use it for a short time before being required to gather more energy to use the form again.

The great thing about Zelda's Swordfighter form, however, is that it can be upgraded using Might Crystals found by clearing rifts or in other less obvious places, like under rocks. The Might Crystals can then be taken to Lueburry's house and exchanged for a Power Sword or Swordsman Marker. This is something players should do as soon as possible, as Zelda's Swordsman form often proves to be a much more efficient way of dealing with enemies than simply relying on monster echoes to do the job.

There are monster echoes that are better suited to certain situations

Players may be tempted to find a monster echo they like and stick with it throughout Zelda: Echoes of wisdombut there are echoes of monsters more suited to certain situations. The Darknut echo, for example, which players acquire quite early in the game, can be very powerful, but it's also very slow. The needle roller echo, on the other hand, covers a large area but is so large that it is often limited by the surrounding area. Players should evaluate each combat scenario and select their echoes accordingly, rather than sticking to their favorite echoes for the entire game.
