Much to his and Tamayo's surprise, Yoriichi managed to not only dodge Muzan's close-range attacks, but also completely overwhelm him in an instant, cutting the Demon King into several pieces before he even had a chance to react. Tamayo watched the fight closely, wishing that the man who ruined her life had finally met his end at the hands of a Demon Slayer.

When Muzan finally escaped after managing to hurl himself into hundreds of pieces held together thanks to Yoriichi's speed, Tamayo became so angry that she began screaming Muzan's name. When he said her name, he noticed that she wasn't dead, meaning that Yoriichi's curse didn't kill her because Muzan was too busy using up his energy trying to escape.

Tamayo survived by eating animals and human corpses after Yoriichi released her. Eventually, Muzan is exposed to sunlight at dawn, his body burning, thus ending the battle.

Tamayo's blood becomes an essential component in the final battle to weaken Muzan, allowing Tanjiro and his friends an opening to attack his weakness.
