Rivals of wonder has finally launched and enthusiasm for the game is reaching an all-time high. The game generated a lot of anticipation during its release, largely due to relatively consumer-friendly monetization practices and its initial roster of 33 playable heroes. Rivals of wonder enjoyed several months of public development and rumors were completely rampant.
Almost all the characters in Rivals of wonder' was leaked relatively early in its development cycle, and this leak remained credible up until the game's release date. The roster itself is relatively large and impressively diverse, but still has some notable flaws. The Fantastic Four and the X-Men are familiar names for Marvel, but both fall short of what one might expect from their portrayal Rivals of wonder.

Marvel Rivals leaks have good news for X-Men fans
Marvel Rivals' launch roster has a notable lack of X-Men
The absence of the Fantastic Four is undoubtedly the biggest headache, considering the upcoming release of Fantastic Four: First Steps. However, this potential for cross-promotion at least provides a reasonable excuse. After all, there have already been some Rivals of wonder' he reveals by revealing Mr. Fantastic and The Human Torch, which seemingly dispels the concern Rivals of wonder would leave out Marvel's First Family.
With this in mind, it becomes even more confusing that the X-Men are left in the dust. After Storm and Wolverine, almost none of the most iconic members of the X-Men were cut. Magik and Psylocke are interesting additions and members of the current X-Men team, but they have fewer historical ties to the team than some of the characters who were left out. The same can be said for Magneto, with his history ranging from team leader to archenemy, but both of these roles easily justify his place on the roster.
If nothing else, bring Rivals of wonder' portrayal of the X-Men further questioned. The original X-Men consisted of five members under the leadership of Professor X, and each founding member has remained relevant to the team ever since. The original team consisted of Cyclops, Marvel Girl (also known as Jean Grey), Iceman, Angel, and Beast. Unfortunately, none of them were included as playable characters Rivals of wonder.
Luckily, this could change in the very near future, according to a new round of Rivals of wonder losses. Fumo Leaks claimed to have unearthed some upcoming X-Men content, ranging from playable heroes to new maps. While none of this has been confirmed yet, the timing of this rumor is worth considering, especially due to its status as a supposed datamine.

Jean Grey, Emma Frost and more may be coming to Marvel Rivals
Given its nature as a hero shooter, the new playable characters will likely always be the most exciting reveal Rivals of wonder. According to a recent post published by Fumo Leaks, both Jean Gray and Emma Frost will be added Rivals of wonder. This is due to both of their names reportedly being discovered in the game's code, but the leak goes further than that.
No images of either hero have yet been discovered, as has been done with characters like The Fantastic Four. Blade and Ultron also appear to have physical assets, which may cast doubt on the credibility of this leak. However, if the information released in the wake of the datamine turns out to be true, it would be Rivals of wonder' Fantastic Four were leaks. Along with their names, this same trove of data appears to have uncovered the Jean Gray and Emma Frost kits.
The details of each ability aren't listed, but their names are, which already allows eagle-eyed fans to deduce a lot about their playstyles. One might assume that Jean Gray should have the ability to resurrect herself, and the “Phoenix Elegy” ability seems to support this theory. Likewise, it's not too hard to imagine what Emma Frost's “Diamond Form” could do. Jean Grey's kit seems to place her exactly as a Duelist, while Emma seems much closer to a Vanguard, with both characteristics common to Gamemakers. Neither has been confirmed for either Rivals of wonder' roles for now, so any other comments are nothing more than speculation.
Jean Gray and Emma Frost are apparently the only leaked playable heroes from the X-Men, but they weren't the only ones yet. It appears that the datamines also include Krakoa and Arakko as upcoming maps Rivals of wonderand both locations have been very important to the X-Men comics in recent years. The inclusion of both maps gives the characters and their kits much more credibility, and more importantly gives credence to the idea that Rivals of wonder an X-Men season could be in store sooner rather than later.
