Sony's entertainment businesses come into focus
In addition to the latest teaser for The Last of Us season 2 and a month of premieres, Sony also had several other major announcements up its sleeve. Chief among the announcements was the fact that Helldivers would be made into a film with the help of Sony Pictures.
Elsewhere, Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima is getting a dedicated anime via Crunchyroll and Aniplex. Based on the images shown, it will focus on Legends mode and not the main story.
Finally, Horizon Zero Dawn will now be a feature film from Columbia Pictures and PlayStation Productions. Previously, Horizon had canceled its television adaptation, with the status of future projects seemingly up in the air. It seems that this is no longer the case.
In other words, it looks like Sony has its hands full, with a slew of upcoming adaptations to go alongside its projects already in the works. And given how successful their efforts have been so far, no one can blame them for taking on more projects.
