Following a recent Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update, players have noticed a strange issue occurring when using the Gunsmith feature in multiplayer. When attempting to customize a weapon with a new optical sight, players were frustrated by a bug that deselects the optic once the weapon is modified again. Essentially, once the player attempts to modify the weapon again in Gunsmith, the previously selected optic will be removed entirely, leaving the weapon with the default option of iron sights.

As revealed on the Call of Duty Updates social account, the developer was quickly able to identify and ultimately provide a hotfix for the issue affecting optical accessories in Black operations 6 Gunsmith. Naturally, feedback on the fix has been positive, with a clear sigh of relief from the community at no longer having to constantly go into the Gunsmith to adjust weapon optics.
This smaller update follows on the heels of a larger, more traditional update, which largely provides weapon balancing Black operations 6. Recently, some players have noticed how some weapons can't keep up with assault rifles like the XM4. Associate Director Matt Scronce indicated Black operations 6 would be receiving a weapon tuning update, and from the looks of it, players didn't have to wait for Season 1 to arrive to see a much-needed upgrade to SMGs.
