An integral part of players learning the role of Assassin, Veis the Viera clashes with the Gully Clan before promptly vanishing to join House Bowen if the correct quest markers are hit. Her brooding attitude is reinforced throughout the game, as her “Vanish” ability allows her to disappear from the enemy's sight before promptly attacking from another unknown location. • Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire Of The Rift

The seemingly disappointing appearance of Syrenead may have caused some players Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift to consider her a minor character with little to contribute to the game's narrative. However, her courageous nature and drive for acceptance create an endearing personality in a relatively disposable Viera character in the Nintendo DS exclusive tactical role-playing game.

With the appearance of a typical green wizard, Syrenead's appearance as a guest character brings with it her thrill-seeking tendencies. In an attempt to defeat a powerful Wyrm to prove to her father that she is capable, she enlists the player to help her. His 3-part quest that culminates with the Wyrm being kept as a pet may seem dark. However, his drive to pursue dangerous situations turns what could have been a forgettable cameo from Viera into a grounded but silly narrative about proving one's strength.

Play an incredibly active role in the care and worship of Advancement of Final Fantasy tacticsRitz's female protagonist, Shara's seemingly impassive demeanor serves as an appropriate counterbalance to Ritz's short fuse.

Being an active part of the Ritz Malheur clan, Shara's traits are consistent with the rural environment of the Viera people. Dressed in relatively typical woodland garb and being an incredibly skilled archer, her appearance is fairly typical with other traditional Viera. Creating a strong affinity with Ritz throughout the game's narrative, making her fear of insects transparent to the player, Shara's harsh exterior is slowly peeled away to reveal the thoughtful and fallible being beneath.

Fran and Mjrn's older sister and elder Viera of Eruyt Village

A collage showing gameplay images and key illustrations of Jote from Final Fantasy XII

While many of the Viera that players interact with in the Final fantasy franchises are those who have ignored the ways of their natives, Jote stands firm as a stoic reminder of the culture and customs of the rabbit race. Although she is the elder of two other important Viera characters Final Fantasy 12 – being Fran and Mjrn – her position as the Elder of Eruyt Village means she is equally memorable.

Although her position as Village Elder requires her to remain calm and collected in the face of challenges, this can have the effect of portraying her as cold and distant. However, the love she feels for her two sisters, who left the village in stark defiance of the Viera law, saddens her as she must uphold the traditions and boundaries of her culture.

3 Krjn
