Not all of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga was included in the anime. Here are some moments that were censored.
Stands are one of the most important elements of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure this helps his fights feel more unique than ever. These powerful projections were introduced in Stardust Crusaderswhich is filled to the brim with iconic booths that fans still remember today.
1 Purple Hermit
A weak but iconic stand used to track objectives
- Debut: “A man possessed by an evil spirit” (episode 1 of Stardust Crusaders)
It's understandable why Joseph Joestar received the worst Stand in the main group. Considering how he played an important role as the protagonist Tendency to battleit was only right that his nephew and the other booth users enjoyed more screen time instead.
However, Hermit Purple is still a decent stand that allows its users to track certain people. His Stand was crucial in tracking down God, and it helps that Hermit Purple's tendrils can also be used to get out of a sticky situation if necessary. However, its combat applications are rather limited.
2 The Fool
Iggy's stance is simple but effective
- Debut: “The Fool” Iggy and “Geb” N'Doul, part 1 (episode 25 of Stardust Crusaders)
Iggy can be an annoying character at times, but he ultimately redeems himself by the end Stardust Crusaders. This moody dog reveals a powerful Stand that manipulates sand into a shape capable of attacking enemies.
Iggy's Stand may seem simple but it has its uses, such as when he defeats another animal who uses the Stand and helps both Polnareff and Avdol during their fight against Cream. It is quite powerful, but it can be argued that the full extent of this Stand is not seen as Iggy prefers to stay behind instead of helping the group in the fight.
3 The magician's red
A flaming stand used to incinerate opponents
- Debut: “A man possessed by an evil spirit” (episode 1 of Stardust Crusaders)
From Stardust Crusaders was the story arc in which Stands made its debut, it's easy to see why these projections might seem rather basic. Magician's Red is a great example of the same, with this Stand's power to manipulate flames seeming rather basic given the whimsy of the other Stands in JoJo I am.

However, Magician's Red is a stand that benefits from having an interesting user who can make the most of this basic yet explosive power. There's a reason why fans cheered after this Stand User returned from the dead and used his Magician's Red to take out Judgment and its user.
4 Cream
A deadly resistance that has killed numerous heroes
- Debut: “The Miasma of the Void, Vanilla Ice Cream, Part 1” (Episode 42 of Stardust Crusaders)
One of the scariest Stands in the series, Vanilla Ice is one of God's lackeys deemed powerful enough to receive the power of vampirism. Along with this, the villain used the power of his Stand, Cream, to create a vacuum that eliminates anything caught in its radius.
This stand was so powerful that it killed both Avdol and Iggy. The nature of their deaths is brutal, but it motivates Polnareff to rebel against all odds and use Vanilla Ice's vampiric powers against him, causing him to be burned alive by the sun.
5 Green Hierophant
Kakyoin made the most of the resistance with effective ranged attacks
- Debut: “Who will be the judge?!” (Episode 2 of Stardust Crusaders)
Kakyoin is one of the best characters in JoJo's Bizarre Adventuremaking the most of Hierophant Green's simple powers to become one of the show's most captivating fighters. Witnessing his Emerald Splash repeatedly land on enemies never stops being fun.
Throughout the series, he uses his wits to bring enemies into his range before using Emerald Splash to emerge victorious time and time again. Stardust Crusaders' Strong writing ensures that even the most basic powers seem impressive in the grand scheme of things.
6 Silver chariot
A special fencing stand that made a surprise appearance in the golden wind
- Debut: “Grey Tower” (episode 4 of Stardust Crusaders)
Silver Chariot is a unique looking stand that appears to be clad in armor. In battle he wields a fencing sword that can be used to stab enemies and leave them seriously injured.

Colony bases in Jojo's Bixarre Adventure are made up of many moving parts, and while they aren't always used for combat, they are very effective.
Along with this Silver Chariot can also lose its armor to sacrifice its absolute defense for increased speed. It's a much more tactical stand than most people might think, and fans were happy to see this iconic stand make an appearance in Golden wind as well.
7 The world
God's ultra-powerful support that can stop time
- Debut: “The World of DIO, Part 1” (episode 45 of Stardust Crusaders)
The Stand of God is a source of great mystery for the heroes, who seek to uncover the secret behind its power as they make their way to its hideout in Egypt. Once viewers see The World in all its glory, it's easy to see why this Stand's power to stop time is frightening in every way.
These unique time-stopping powers are a big part of what makes God the toughest fight Stardust Crusaders for a country mile. To make matters worse, this Stand's power is also brutal enough to make close combat encounters quite risky.
8 Platinum Star
Jotaro's iconic stance that can crush enemies into oblivion
- Debut: “A man possessed by an evil spirit” (episode 1 of Stardust Crusaders)
Star Platinum is the Stand wielded by Jotaro Kujo, a no-nonsense protagonist who embodied the archetype of shonen heroes popular in that period who could decimate anything that stood in their way. Just like Kenshiro, Jotaro always remained calm and was more than up to the task when a pesky enemy tried to stop him.
His Stand was powerful enough to defeat anyone with an iconic rush of punches, but the true extent of Star Platinum's powers were revealed when he battled God. While battling this foe early on, it was made abundantly clear that both The World and Star Platinum were the same type of Stand, allowing Jotaro to manipulate time and catch Dio by surprise before destroying this foe in style.
