JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of the most beloved shonen anime of all time. Each main story arc is chock-full of quirky characters and incredible battles that stand out as being so unique from the usual battle conflicts that shonen manga fans have seen time and time again.

The sheer number of impressive battles that take place in this series is something that fans can't get enough of. Stardust Crusaders Stands have been introduced to make battles more dynamic than ever, making some battles particularly memorable.

8 Jotaro Kujo VS Noriaki Kakyoin

The first encounter that showcases Star Platinum's immense power

It might seem like the fight between Jotaro and Kakyoin isn't all that special, but fans should realize that it was a historical conflict given the context. It was Araki's first time writing a Stand Battle which was a lot of fun and made it clear that discarding Hamon wasn't the worst idea.

Kakyoin was brainwashed by Dio and inflicted substantial damage on Jotaro, but this did not stop him from being punched by JoJo when he entered Star Platinum's attack range. An iconic punch rush ensued that would become a staple of the series, and Kakyoin was soon healed to become a main hero.

7 Jean Pierre Polnareff and Noriaki Kakyoin VS J. Geil

An important battle in which Polnareff finally avenges his sister's brutal disappearance

Polnareff was traumatized by his sister's brutal death and vowed to find the twisted killer who carried out the deed by any means necessary. Eventually, after reaching Calcutta, Polnareff managed to track down the criminal who used his Stand to attack enemies by using their reflexes against them.

This created a difficult battle that Polnareff would have lost if Avdol hadn't motivated him every step of the way. An ingenious coin trick limited J. Geil's attack window, forcing him to follow a predictable path while being captured by Silver Chariot. The end of this fight marked the end of Polnareff's quest for revenge, although this criminal's mother had something in common with the Frenchman.

6 Noriaki Kakyoin, Jotaro Kujo and Joseph Joestar VS Telence T. D'Arby

However, his defeat was sealed when Jotaro took the controls, with Joseph's Purple Hermit allowing him to cheat and win the video game. What followed was a satisfying pummeling as the younger D'Arby brother was knocked out of commission.

A unique battle against a literal newborn

It was only when he kept his Stand active that Hierophant Green was able to enter the dream world and give Death Thirteen a taste of his own medicine. The child was promptly taken to another city before the group continued with their adventure.

One of the most brutal stands JoJo's Bizarre Adventurethe vanilla ice cream was powerful enough to eliminate everything in the vacuum. It's a ridiculous Stand that involved three party members in a fatal duel.

Both Avdol and Iggy lost their lives, and Polnareff decided to avenge their deaths by using Vanilla Ice's vampirism against him. He tricked the bad guy into walking past a curtain that he tore down, causing the hateful bad guy's body to burn in one of the most satisfying endings to a fight in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

They managed to nullify Judgment's threat before locating the Stand User's air hose. In a disgusting and unorthodox method, the duo forced Cameo to emerge from underground before dealing him the defeat of their lives.

2 Joseph Joestar, Jean Pierre Polnareff and Jotaro Kujo VS Daniel J. D'Arby

An intense poker battle with a memorable conclusion

• It takes place in:D'Arby the Gambler, Parts 1 and 2 (Episodes 34 and 35 of Stardust Crusaders)

Gambling battle against big brother D'Arby is Stardust Crusaders at its best. Fans can't help but love this stylish encounter and how Jotaro decides to take on this cheater.

His confidence is so overpowering that D'Arby doubts his chances of winning despite having a killer hand. Jotaro's continued increases don't help matters, with his final request to learn of Dio's power being so egregious that D'Arby admitted defeat, with his soul transformed into a poker chip courtesy of his own Stand while the rest of the group regains their senses. .

The final battle in which God's powers finally come to light

The final battle against God was a long time in the making, with the heroes struggling to understand why this villain was so strong. Kakyoin lost his life and Joseph was drained of his blood, leaving only Jotaro to clash with Dio.

After learning of Dio's ability to stop time, Jotaro slowly realized that Star Platinum could use the same power. He slowly adapted to Dio's timing stops during the battle before landing some solid hits that caught Dio by surprise. Not even his steamroller was enough to crush Jotaro, who launched a final rush of punches to defeat the main antagonist of Stardust Crusaders.
