8 Jotaro Kujo VS Noriaki Kakyoin

It might seem like the fight between Jotaro and Kakyoin isn't all that special, but fans should realize that it was a historical conflict given the context. It was Araki's first time writing a Stand Battle which was a lot of fun and made it clear that discarding Hamon wasn't the worst idea.


Kakyoin was brainwashed by Dio and inflicted substantial damage on Jotaro, but this did not stop him from being punched by JoJo when he entered Star Platinum's attack range. An iconic punch rush ensued that would become a staple of the series, and Kakyoin was soon healed to become a main hero.

Geil's attack window, forcing him to follow a predictable path while being captured by Silver Chariot. The end of this fight marked the end of Polnareff's quest for revenge, although this criminal's mother had something in common with the Frenchman.

The final battle against God was a long time in the making, with the heroes struggling to understand why this villain was so strong. Kakyoin lost his life and Joseph was drained of his blood, leaving only Jotaro to clash with Dio.

After learning of Dio's ability to stop time, Jotaro slowly realized that Star Platinum could use the same power. He slowly adapted to Dio's timing stops during the battle before landing some solid hits that caught Dio by surprise. Not even his steamroller was enough to crush Jotaro, who launched a final rush of punches to defeat the main antagonist of Stardust Crusaders.
