The Apothecary Diaries had teased an announcement for October 22, 2024, and viewers predicted it to be related to season two. Finally, official X (formerly Twitter) released a statement confirming that Apothecary Diaries season 2 would be released in January 2025.

Season 2 of The Apothecary Diaries will air its first episode on January 10, 2025. The official X account (formerly Twitter) of the anime has revealed a new key visual featuring Mamao and Jinshi. The anime's cast will remain unchanged, so fans can expect to see all of the voice actors reprising their roles from the first season.

The Apothecary Diaries is a light novel written by Natsu Hyūga. The light novel began serialization in Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2011. It received a manga adaptation in 2017. It was written by Itsuki Nanao and illustrated by Nekokurage.

The anime adaptation of Apothecary Diaries was announced in February 2023. The initial season had two courses and began airing in October 2023. The first season of Apothecary Diaries released the final episode on March 24, 2024.

The first opening for Apothecary Dairies, Hana ni Natte, was performed by Ryokoushoku Shakai. Aina the End worked on Aina the End, the first final song. Uru's Ambivalent was the second opening theme for the Apothecary Diaries. Ai wa Kusuri was the second final song and was performed by Wacci.
