There are only nine animation cards released in the game though more are expected as more sets release. Let’s take a look at these cool variants that collectors and players will love to have.

The prices of these cards come from TCGplayer’s Market Price and will fluctuate over time.

9 Baby 5 – Common

$0.10

Baby 5 Anime Artwork by Takashi Yoshiika

Part of the Donquixote Pirates, Baby 5 is a green card that helps you speed up your game a little. You can rest one DON!! card from your cost area and then rest Baby 5 to play another Donquixote Pirate character, so long as that card has a cost of two or less directly from your hand.

Baby 5 is a pretty cool character from multiple arcs in the anime and manga, acting as a villain before aligning herself with the Straw Hat Pirates. She ate the Buki Buki no Mi, or the Arms-Arms Fruit so she can turn parts of her body into weapons, like the leg cannon that appears on her card.

8 Donquixote Doflamingo – Common

$0.11

Even as a child, Donquixote Doflamingo was a terror in the anime, and even though he was younger it didn’t mean that he was any less dangerous. This green version of Donquixote Doflamingo can be trashed to K.O. one of your opponent’s rested characters so long as that character costs two or less.

One Piece Card Game: The 10 Best Cards From OP-04 Kingdoms Of Intrigue

OP-04: Kingdoms Of Intrigue introduced six new leaders and a whole lot of incredible cards to the One Piece Card Game.

Donquixote Doflamingo did some pretty heinous things as a kid, and that was before he ate the Ito Ito no Mi also known as the String-String Fruit. Even as a kid though, Mingo sports some trademark sunglasses.

7 Trafalgar Law – Uncommon

$0.12

Trafalgar Law Anime Artwork by Takashi Yoshiika

Another green card, Trafalgar Law has a heartbreaking ability that is feels like a throwback to the pirate’s life as a kid. You can trash Trafalgar Law to rest one of your opponent’s characters that have a cost of three or less, stalling your opponents and hopefully throwing a wrench in their plans.

As a child, Trafalgar Law was plagued by Amber Lead poisoning, a disease caused by a naturally occurring ore on the island where Law was born that is highly valuable but is deadly to handle directly.

6 Donquixote Rosinante – Leader

$0.12

Donquixote Rosinante Anime Artwork by Souta Yamazaki

The first Leader card on this list, Donquixote Rosinante is an interesting blue and green Leader that can tank damage from your opponent’s attacks. As a blocker, you can rest Donquixote Rosinante to have him jump in front of your opponent’s attacks to redirect that attack to him.

Then, at the end of your turn, if you have six or fewer cards in your hand, you can reset Donquixote Rosinante to active, which is a nice little bonus. This card is much like Trafalgar Law, a character whose tragic past inspires the card’s abilities.

5 Sabo – Leader

$0.13

Sabo Anime Artwork by Keiichi Ichikawa

Changing it up a bit is Sabo’s Leader card, a red and black card that comes with a fairly strong interactive ability to keep your bigger characters alive longer. Once during your opponent’s turn, and so long as you have a DON!! card attached to Sabo, you can save that character from being K.O.’d by giving it -1000 power for the turn instead.

Sabo is a member of the Revolutionary Army and is a neat leader card for players to collect. In the art behind Sabo, you can see a map of the world and a large compass, showing the reach that the Revolutionary Army has in the One Piece world.

4 Belo Betty – Leader

$0.14

Belo Betty Anime Artwork by Nazura Hishada

The cool and stylish commander in the Revolutionary Army, Belo Betty joins the One Piece Card Game as a red and yellow leader that can give your other Revolutionary Army characters a boost in power. Once per turn, you can trash a Revolutionary Army card from your hand to give three of your other Revolutionary army characters or characters with a trigger a bonus 3000 power for the turn.

This ability is incredibly flavorful given Belo Betty ate the Kobu Kobu no Mi, or the Pump-Pump Fruit. With this special Devil Fruit, Betty can inspire people around her to give them a boost in strength.

3 Monkey.D.Luffy – Leader

$0.15

Monkey.D.Luffy Anime Artwork by Katsumi Ishizuka

A purple version of the Straw Hat Pirates captain, Monkey.D.Luffy is a Leader card that can help keep your game consistent by keeping cards in your hand while ramping up into your more powerful cards. Luffy’s main ability lets you add DON!! Cards regardless of what you have in hand, putting DON!! cards from your DON!! deck into play if you have either zero or three or more in play already.

The One Piece Card Game’s first Ultra Deck, The Three Captains, had some really powerful cards.

As one of the main characters of One Piece and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy almost has to have a good ability attached to him. His unique ability lets you play stronger cards faster and helps build up a presence on the board before your opponents can stablize.

2 Sakazuki – Leader

$0.16

Sakazuki Anime Artwork by Bandai

Representing the Marines comes one of the most hated characters in the show, Sakazuki, also known as Akainu. This blue and black Leader card is a verstile card with two strong abilities that makes it a solid choice for players. Sakazuki’s first ability lets you trash a card from your hand to draw a card, keeping your hand fresh and your discard pile full.

Sakazuki leans into black’s mechanic to reduce the cost of your opponent’s characters to do other shenanigans with them thanks to effects that trash low cost characters with various removal spell. Anytime he attacks he gives one of your opponents -1 cost for the turn, setting you up for a 1-2 punch with other removal cards.

1 Enel – Leader

$0.16

Enel Anime Artwork by Takashi Kojima

Another Leader card that represents the character’s abilities perfectly, the yellow Enel Leader card keeps you alive even when death seems on the horizon. During your opponent’s turn, Enel’s unique ability triggers when your Life cards are reduced to zero, adding the top card of your deck to your Life cards, though it does come with the cost of trashing a card from your hand.

This ability only triggers once per turn, but can provide a nigh-immortality feel to your game, much like Enel’s Goro Goro no Mi, or Rumble-Rumble Fruit powers of electricity manipulation.
