It looks like Sony is planning to re-release 2003 PlayStation2 game Primordial on its new emulator. Starting in 2016, Sony started porting PlayStation 2 games to PS4 with some improvements and new features like trophy support. Unfortunately, some of these games have suffered from performance issues on PS5.
To help combat these issues, Sony has started porting PS2 games to a new emulator on both the PS4 and PS5. The most recent example of this is Sirenthe classic survival-horror/stealth game previously available on PS4, but re-released on the new emulator with a platinum trophy and better performance on PS5.
