Nintendo has launched a new limited-time crossover event SuperMario runs celebrating the launch on November 7th Mario and Luigi: Brotherhood. SuperMario runs is a mobile Endless Runner game from Nintendo, first launched in 2016. Despite being overlooked as a mainline SuperMario game, receives a series of updates, some of which are tied to newly released Nintendo Switch games.
SuperMario runs is no stranger to crossovers, as Endless Runner has gotten various events promoting other games. Earlier this year, SuperMario runs I got events based on various Mario spin-offs, including Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Princess Peach: Showand also to Luigi's villa 2 HDthemed crossover. Themed events gave players the chance to obtain various items and statues based on characters from these titles, as well as increasing the amount of medals players earned. With the release of Mario and Luigi: Brotherhood on Nintendo Switch, players can participate in a game-focused event that delivers new content and themed rewards.

Just like other celebrations, this new one SuperMario runs The event will last for a limited time, during which completing missions will bring the player closer to obtaining three statues in the game. These statues are based on Mario and Luigi's appearances in Brotherhoodalong with new NPC characters Connie and Snoutlet. The statues represent the couples of Mario and Connie, Luigi and Snoutlet and the Mario brothers together. This in-game event will be available until December 19, 2024.

Some of the special missions that will bring players closer to earning these statues include Clearing World 1-1 without defeating any Goombas or collecting 1500 coins in the World Tour. Some missions serve SuperMario runs courses that are not available without purchasing them, but if a player links their Nintendo Account, some courses can be unlocked and played without purchasing. Some mission-eligible paths such as 2-1, 3-3, 4-2, and 5-1 will be unlocked for free during the event.
Mario and Luigi: Brotherhood it's the first Mario and Luigi game developed after the closure of its original developer, AlphaDream, meaning it has a lot of anticipation and hype behind it. Both Nintendo and Acquire were developed Mario and Luigi: Brotherhoodthe latter studio has already worked on games like Octopathic Traveler AND Tenchu.
