Seven’s This Is Your Life set to be axed in 2024: report

This Is Your Life reportedly won’t be returning in 2024.

Just days after Channel 7 unveiled its slate of new and returning shows at its annual Upfronts event, it’s being reported by TV Central that the heartwarming documentary-style series, hosted by Melissa Doyle, will not be among them.

It may come as a surprise to many viewers, given that This Is Your Life enjoyed reasonable success following its reboot in 2022.

In particular, the episode focusing on Home and Away’s Ray Meagher attracted a decent 595,000 viewers, while its Tina Arena special was watched by 532,000 and Rebecca Gibney pulled in 581,000 viewers.

News.com.au has reached out to Seven for comment.

Meanwhile, TV Central also reports that Australia’s Got Talent, We Interrupt This Broadcast, Million Dollar Island and Blow Up are also on the chopping block.

The latter, which sees artists compete to create the best balloon artworks for a $100,000 prize, premiered in May to a deflating 288,000 viewers.

That number dropped even lower to just 224,000 on its second night, and was quickly moved from the main channel to 7flix by its third episode.

Meanwhile, Seven’s recent announcement that it is resurrecting controversial X-rated program, Big Brother Uncut, has sparked plenty of buzz.

The Big Brother supplementary series was axed in 2006 following mounting backlash over its airing of explicit footage of the housemates, ranging from them showering nude, to getting intimate and talking about sex.

Sonia Kruger will be returning to host Big Brother when it premieres in November, with Uncut set to stream on Seven’s digital platform, 7plus.
