Rest 2: The Dark Horizon

Players leave the agronomic sector Rest 2It's The Dark Horizon DLC they will face their first boss challenge soon, and it will take place in a place called Debris foundry. Armed with the best weapons and archetypes, players should be ready to take on this challenge without any problems.

However, there are a few things players should know about this location and this guide will break down every single detail, so you don't miss out on any loot or critical encounters.

Where to find the Debris Smelter in Remnant 2

Once players have finished exploring all the procedural dungeons and maps available in the agronomic sector, which may include the stagnant manufacturing and its fiendish puzzles, they will notice that another path is available if use gliders and travel north, following the flows of hot air.

Once you reach a secluded area, there will be a platform accessible only with the Glider and, above it, the entrance to the Detritus Foundry, which is the dungeon that connects the Agronomic Sector with the Withered Necropolis area.

Once they enter the Debris Foundry, they will be greeted by the distinctive red glow of the Worldstone, and if they go a little further, there will be some enemies along a messy walkway. Continue going deeper into the dungeon until you reach a fork in the road. This is where players can take a little detour and search for possible world drops (procedurally generated in each N'erud adventure), chests, and more.

The video above provides a complete overview of the Detritus Foundry map, which includes some areas that appear in every match, along with some procedurally generated loot. The following table will share the notable loot that players can find in this dungeon.

Greenhouse laboratory

After completing the first section of the Detritus Foundry, continue until you find an elevator that will take you to the Greenhouse subsection of the dungeon. In this place there will be a large area surrounded by glass walls with several crops inside. In the middle of that section there will be a glowing red key named Sample cutout – take it and get ready to fight.

A variety of enemies (including an Elite Amalgam) they will swarm into the room and there will be little space to repel them. The best approach in this case is to take business outside the inner circle where the crop sample was found.

Using an archetype that deals area damage, like the Archon, can help players get out of sticky situations like swarm attacks, or avoid being cornered by powerful elite enemies like Amalgam and Harvester, which rely on on physical attacks to overwhelm the player.

After defeating the Amalgam and its minions, players will be rewarded with a Crock and can continue exploring the dungeon. The first thing they need to know is this there are no more Cromp champions available;it's just one item per run.

Where to use the collected sample in the debris smelter

In one of the sections of the circular Greenhouse area, there is a small detour that leads to an elevator. Take it and go down to the Greenhouse laboratory. Inside, players will notice two glowing statues, a pool of black slime, and a glowing purple object next to a chest at the back of the room. Approach the shiny object, which is a Quantum memory Charm: A rather useful item that causes your perfect dodges to recharge your main weapon or perfect dodges to recharge both weapons at the same time. It can be quite complex to use, but it is a great accessory.

Next, players should listen to the voice recording next to the corpse, which will give them clues on how to use Sample cutout they resumed earlier. Check out both statues with terrariums in front; the audio file warns you that you are dangerous.

If you plant the crop sample in the Red Statuenothing will happen, but if players return later, they will be able to face a mini-boss called the Inverted Shambler. This creature will drop the Repercussion Mutator, which grants a stackable damage boost to ranged weapons (up to five stacks).

Very thin heart of the debris foundry

If players plant the sample crop in the Blue statue, players will have to complete the dungeon and return later to find that the champion Cromp has blossomed. Getting closer will allow him to choose a new Relic item: The Very thin heart. Curiously, this item does not heal, but instead provides a passive bonus to Avoid the window frameincreasing it by 1. During use, it will increase the bonus frames of the evasion window by an additional 2 during the next 15 seconds.

THE
Very thin heart
is an incredible asset that pairs perfectly with the Invader archetype and the
Quantum memory
amulet players found earlier in the dungeon. For players looking for a “Dodge Tank” build, this could be a game-changer.

Third floor of the Debris Foundry and N'Erudian Reaper Boss

Return to the greenhouse and go forward in the opposite direction of the laboratory elevator – there will be a small detour leading to an external walkway. Take that path and eliminate the enemies.

Attention to
Elite Spectrum
appearing on the stairs leading to the elevator on the third floor. Remember this
Specters have a one-hit ability
which can annihilate players in a second.

Players will notice that this Pink Specter also has a power that causes a crowd control effect, so stay away from the wormhole and avoid being ambushed by the Specter at all costs. Once players have dealt with the pesky Elite, they should take the elevator to the third and final floor of the dungeon and face the N'Erudian Reaper Boss.

How to defeat the N'Erudian Reaper boss

Taking on the N'Erudian Reaper can be quite a challenge, so make sure you steer near the center section of the arena. If players have not fought the Astral Reaper's Hidden Boss, it performs more or less the same attacks. But, as in the case of the Pink Specter previously faced by players, this boss can use an annoying crowd control that works like a spider web: touching it will cause shock damage and slow down players.

Players can use the
Alchemist's Elixir of Life
ability to withstand the onslaught of the N'Erudian Reaper without too many problems. Elixir of Life also automatically revives players affected by its effect, so it's a great tool for those who tackle it solo.

After knitting a pentagram-shaped networkthe Reaper will jump into the center of the arena, so make sure you have enough mitigation to withstand his assault. Once players have dealt enough damage, the boss will begin to jump faster, moving from section to section and setting the trap at very high speed. Aim for the wraith that appears in the possessed Reaper's head to deal critical damage, and after a few hits, he will be cooked.

Once players defeat the N'Erudian Reaper, they will drop the Replication Pod, which can be used to make the Harvester Robot Weapon Mod.

Don't forget to collect the chest containing random loot and scrap near the exit, then go forward to find the exit of the Debris Forgealong with a new agronomy subsection that leads to an elevator, where you'll find a huge glowing rhomboid object. Shoot him and prepare to be interrogated Alepsis Taura. Once players have taken care of that, they will be ready to enter the Withered Necropolis area.
