Last week, nine more secret rare cards were revealed for the expansion, including Roaring Moon, Raging Bolt, Sandy Shocks, and Iron Valiant, and now a brand new card designed by a legendary manga artist has just been revealed.
Artist Fist Of The North Star designs new Palafin Ex paper
The star of Prismatic Evolutions will undoubtedly be Eevee and its multiple evolutions. But it's clear that The Pokemon Company went all out for this latest expansion.
The set will receive a total of 32 Special Art Rare cards, including all Eeveelutions and many of Scarlet and Violet's most notable Pokemon, including an Area Zero array.
So far we've seen cards featuring the following Pokemon, with many more on the way:

- Flareon e.g
- Vaporeon e.g
- Glaceon e.g
- Jolteon e.g
- Espeon e.g
- Sylveone eg
- Umbreon e.g

But while dozens of amazing cards have already been revealed, the new ex-Palafin could be one of the biggest yet. Designed by legendary manga artist Tetsuo Hara, Palafin ex is a fitting tribute to Hara's most famous work, Fist of the North Star.
Hara's new card pays homage to the manga series, which later received anime and video game adaptations, with Palafin throwing a barrage of punches. This is in reference to protagonist Ken's infamous attack, Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken, or One Hundred Rending Fists.
The move, which cannonically might be a bit violent for Pokemon, sees Ken unleash over 100 punches, each aimed at the opponent's internal organs and causing them to explode.
However, this isn't the first time Hara has designed a card for a trading game. In 2022, Hara's artwork was featured on the Magic The Gathering card Kaito Shizuki from the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty expansion, another card featuring the artist's signature look.
Pokemon Prismatic Evolutions will be released in January 2025.
