Ahead of the release of Pokemon Legends: ZAa couple of important ones Pokémon leakers indicate that the starting Gen 6 trio will team up as starters for their second game. Pokemon Legends: ZA was announced for Nintendo Switch in late February, following its 2022 success Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Set in the Kalos region, originally introduced in Pokemon X and Y and mirrors real life in France, the game has already been revealed and will bring the Mega Evolution mechanic to the game Legends spin-off series and its name suggests that the story will focus on the legendary Pokemon Zygarde.

If Game Freak's recent leaks are successful, then a popular Pokemon will be getting a noteworthy Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends ZA.
A late October leak suggested the titular trio were in attendance Pokemon Legends: ZA would again consist of Chespin, Froakie and Fennekin, the three Pokémon available at the beginning of the original pair of games set in the Kalos region. That rumor, shared by prominent Pokemon leaker CentroLeaks, has now been strengthened, as a new post on their Twitter account now claims that a cryptic message from others Pokémon Leaker Riddler Khu alludes to Gen-6 starters remaining as starters for the next one Legends game. However, according to CentroLeaks, Riddler Khu's message suggests that the returning starters will have “something different” about them.
Pokemon Legends ZA starters are said to be altered Generation 6 starters
If the rumors are eventually confirmed, it's likely that all three starter Pokemon will receive new designs and typings. The appetizers inside Pokemon Legends: Arceus – Rowlett, Cyndaquil and Oshawatt – all originally came from different generations and none of them started in the region where they both Legends: Arceus and the trio of Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum have been set. But the Legends: Arceus the starters were all changed from their original forms by their final evolution, with Hisuian Decidueye swapping its secondary Flying type for Fighting, Hisuian Typhlosion adding a secondary Ghost type, and Hisuian Samurott choosing a secondary Dark type.
It should be noted that Riddler Khu's cryptic posts have led to a few different hypotheses about the next starting trio in the past, such as a post from early October that simply said “3 5 8,” leading some fans to believe that the next round of starters would come from from the third, fifth and eighth generations of initial trios. There have been many other theories about Pokemon Legends: ZA starters, including one targeting Totodile, Turtwig, and Litten, based on the cover stars of trading card packs in an official release Pokémon Advent calendar.
