Paul McCartney signed piano Adelaide fan Piano Man Peter Hacquoil

Sir Paul McCartney has made the life of one lucky Adelaide music fan by signing his piano.

McCartney posted a video to his various social media platforms of him signing a piano for Adelaide man Pete seemingly outside of his accommodation at Mount Lofty Estate.

“Alright, here we are signing Pete’s piano,” Paul said to the camera, silver sharpie in hand.

“Pete’s from Adelaide, so am I, here we go.”

Macca, dressed in grey joggers, sneakers and dark sunnies, signs the piano “To Pete, cheers, Paul McCartney 2023”.

“You’ll have to look at that every time you play,” Macca said.

He then goes on to play the intro of The Beatle’s smash hit ‘Lady Madonna’.

McCartney was here in Adelaide two weeks ago for the opening of his Australian tour ‘Got Back’, in which he rocked a sold out crowd at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Comments under the video praised lucky fan Pete, who must have hauled the piano and camped out just for a glimpse of the Beatles star.

“No one more deserving of this than Peter. Thanks Paul,” one commenter wrote.

“I’d never touch that piano again. You would wipe off his fingerprints what an awesome experience.!!!” wrote another.

Macca laid low during his three day stay in Adelaide, with fans not hearing a peep from him until his soundcheck on October 18 and then his show on October 19.

While he wound down the window of his limousine to give a cheery wave, thumbs up and friendly fist pump upon his arrival here, he sent his fans on a bit of a mystery tour of his whereabouts.

And don’t panic, if you didn’t manage to ‘get back’ to see Macca on his visit here, you can read our review.
