A new mode will launch in Overwatch 2 with Overwatch: Classic, an event that promises to bring the game back to its 2016 roots.

Now, Surveillance 2 has shared the patch notes that accompany this new content update. As always, this means the playable heroes of Surveillance 2 I got another pass of balance adjustments. As for tanks and damage dealers, Doomfist's Rocket Punch and Meteor Strike and Mauga's Overrun have received some buffs, as have Tracer's Recall and Hanzo's Storm Bow and Dragonstrike. Additionally, several supports have received beneficial changes, with Ana's biotic rifle shots dealing more damage and healing, Kiriko's cooldowns and Kunai cooldowns have been reduced, improvements to Life Grasp and Tree of Life Lifeweaver's health and Moira's self-healing upgrades.

Unfortunately, some heroes have also been nerfed. Junker Queen's Jagged Blade projectile size and Adrenaline Rush's self-healing multiplier have both been reduced, while the cooldown of Junkrat's Stun Mine has been increased. Likewise, Reaper's lifesteal has been reduced and the cost of Juno's Orbital Ray Ultimate has been increased to make it appear less frequently during matches.

While this balance of the hero will affect normality Surveillance 2 games, fans won't have to worry about these boosts and nerfs while playing Overwatch: Classic. The limited-time game mode began alongside this mid-season update and will last until December 3rd. Players can engage in chaotic 6v6 matches with old hero kits, maps and game modes, and for the first part of the event, they can also choose any number of duplicate heroes, allowing for the creation of hilarious meme teams like the build of six Winston “Gorilla Warfare”.

From November 15th to 22nd, Surveillance 2 fans who log into the game will also receive Warcraftthemed prizes to commemorate the franchise's 30th anniversary. Furthermore, the new Surveillance 2 Soldier: The 76th Mythic weapon skin, Deliverance, is officially available in the Mythic Shop, with four tiers that unlock additional responsiveness, UI elements, and a weapon inspection animation. Finally, from November 29th to December 2nd, Surveillance 2 is running another competitive campaign, offering challenge-seekers the chance to earn the Season 13 Signature to customize their player's name on the scoreboard, profile, and other places it appears.

Hero updates

TANKS

Doomfist

Developer Comments: This change to Rocket Punch makes it slightly easier to activate Wall Smash, which should result in fewer enemies sliding down the wall.

  • Rocket punch
    • The angle required for wall slam has been increased from 44 to 55 degrees.
  • Meteorite strike
    • Final cost reduced by 8%.
    • Heals per second while in the air increased from 75 to 90.

Queen Junker

Developer Comments: While not the most played, Junker Queen is the best performing tank at the moment. These changes are intended to tone it down slightly by reducing its self-healing and making knife throwing require more precision.

  • Serrated blade
    • The base size of the projectile has been reduced from 0.2 to 0.15 meters.
  • Adrenaline rush
    • Wound damage self-healing multiplier reduced from 2.5x to 2.25x.

Mauga

Developer Comments: Mauga has been underperforming for a while now, so we're buffing perhaps her most compelling ability, Overwhelm.

  • Passed
    • Cooldown reduced from 6 to 5 seconds.
    • Charge movement speed increased by 15%.

HARM

Hanzo

Developer Comments: The change to Dragonstrike allows him to damage non-player entities such as barriers, turrets, traps, and mines. This should increase its usefulness even when not eliminating opponents as it can now help clear the battlefield of other obstacles as well.

  • Storm Bow
    • Full recharge time decreased from 0.87 to 0.80 seconds.
  • Dragon Strike
    • Now damages enemy buildable objects.

Junkrat

Developer Comments: We're increasing the cooldown of Stun Mine to reduce the frequency of Junkrat's mobility and burst damage combo.

  • Concussion mine
    • Cooldown increased from 7 to 8 seconds.

Reaper

Developer Comments The survivability added by this passive has been reduced now that Reaper has 300 health and more reliable mobility after Shadow Step's cast time reduction.

  • The harvest
    • Lifesteal reduced from 35 to 30%.

Tracer

Developer Comments: This is a reversion of the previous nerf now that Tracer is less threatening due to the recently decreased Pulse Gun damage.

  • Recall
    • Cooldown reduced from 13 to 12 seconds.

SUPPORT

Ana

Developer Comments: This damage value has gone back and forth a few times as it is a significant breaking point for the number of hits needed to take out some heroes.

  • Biotic Rifle
    • Damage and healing increased from 70 to 75.

Juno

Developer Comments: Juno was the highest tier metasupport hero and outperformed last season. Orbit Beam has also proven to be one of the most impactful ultimates, so we're reducing how often it's used.

  • Orbital radius
    • The final cost increased by 10%.

Kiriko

Developer Comment: Kiriko was heavily affected by the health reduction to 225 HP and was already on the weak side of support heroes, so we slightly reduced her ability cooldowns and weapon cooldowns to make her more effective.

  • Kunai
    • Cooldown decreased from 0.55 to 0.5 seconds.
  • Quick step
    • Cooldown reduced from 8 to 7 seconds.
  • Suzu protection
    • Cooldown reduced from 15 to 14 seconds.

Life weaver

Developer Comment: Lifegrip is great for repositioning allies to help rescue them, but it also telegraphs where they'll end up so they can take a lot of damage right after. We're adding a little more healing to make this happen less often, but we'll keep an eye on it so we don't overdo it.

  • Taking life
    • Cooldown reduced from 19 to 18 seconds.
    • Healing increased from 50 to 75.
  • Tree of life
    • The time before upper health begins to decrease when out of range has been increased from 2.5 seconds to 6 seconds.

Moira

Developer Comment: Moira was not negatively affected by the move to 225 HP, but could use a small increase in her survivability.

  • Biotic grip
    • Self-healing increased from 24 to 30 health per second.

Bug fixes

General

  • Fixed an issue with cosmetic voice effects being heard by other players.

Maps

  • Royal Circuit
    • Fixed an issue where one of the side rooms in Circuit Royale had super bright lighting.
  • Petra
    • Fixed an issue with the Petra Arena map and is available to play again.

Heroes

  • Ana
    • Reduced the combined damage and healing required to evolve the Midnight Sun Mythic weapon. Evolution 2: Requirement reduced by 40%, from 5,000 to 3,000. Evolution 3 (Final): requirements reduced by 20%, from 10,000 to 8,000.
  • Ramattra
    • Fixed an issue where Ramattra could recast the barrier if he was stunned while casting the first barrier.
  • Zarya
    • Fixed a rare issue where Zarya could avoid damage from a Reinhardt Pin.
