One Piece: 6 best fights in the manga

Despite the insane popularity of the One Piece anime, there are fights adapted directly from the manga that cannot be compared to the original depictions

The animated adaptation of this story arc has always been quite divisive in the community, so it will most likely benefit from a shorter runtime and new, polished animation, especially during its multiple fights. But this inevitably left many fans thinking: What else One piece should the strings be re-edited later? The following examples would definitely be improved by Toei Animation's new improvements.

1 Syrup Village Arch

The worst story arc of the series could get some much-needed redemption

Introduction of Usopp in the Syrup Village Arc.

  • Duration: Chapters 22 to 41 (Manga) Episodes 9 to 18 (Anime)

THE Syrup Village Arch is pretty bad, both in the manga and the anime: its pacing is boring, Kuro isn't all that interesting as a villain, and Usopp initially seems annoying. On top of all that, the anime version has some slow and unremarkable animations, especially during the climactic fight between Luffy and Kuro.

In fact, this story arc has already been re-edited for the East Blue episode TV special, but it was kept extremely short and still had many of the flaws of the original iteration. A new version with improved graphics and more dynamic pacing could do wonders for the reputation of the Syrup Village Arc and its main protagonist, Usopp.

2 Long Ring Long Earth Long Bow

All of its filler could be removed and its cut parts added back

Luffy slows down Foxy with his Noro Noro Beam.

  • Duration: Chapters 303 to 321 (Manga) Episodes 207 to 219 (Anime)

The anime took the Long Ring Long Earth Long Bowa bizarre comic arc that was already polarizing among manga readers, and made it even worse, adding filler episodes that artificially extended the length of Davy Back Fight to an irritating degree, and removing the unexpected appearance of Admiral Aokiji right at the start. end, a shocking encounter that completely upended the entire arc.

One Piece: every character defeated by Shanks

Shanks is a powerful yonko. He defeated some strong characters in One Piece.

This is a real shame because, as quirky as it may be, this story arc features some really solid comedic scenes and a sudden mood change at the end that is uncommon for One piece. A solid reissue of the Long Ring Long Earth Long Bow that stays more faithful to the manga could potentially be a lot more fun and a lot more satisfying to watch.

3 Marineford Arch

An intense story arc with many action scenes that could be improved

Luffy in front of the 3 admirals, Aokiji, Akainu and Kizaru.

  • Duration: Chapters from 550 to 580 (Manga) Episodes from 457 to 489 (Anime)

The animated version of the Marineford Arch it's far from bad and is actually loved by most viewers. However, this monumental war was slightly diminished by the anime's usual flaws, such as occasional choppy animation, reused flashbacks, and slow pacing.

Toei Animation still managed to make a solid adaptation, but if the animators want to maintain this new tradition of re-editing previous arcs, they should give the Marineford Arc another chance. After all, this is a big, important story arc that features some of the most exciting battles One pieceand everyone might end up looking and feeling better thanks to the studio's more modern animation style.

4 Punk Hazard arc

The arc that follows the Fishman Island arc would also benefit from a new change

Luffy attacks Caesar Clown.

  • Duration: Chapters from 654 to 699 (Manga) Episodes from 579 to 625 (Anime)

Most One piece fans agree that the anime saw a significant drop in quality after the time jump, with the Fish-Man Island arc being the first to be seriously affected by boring pacing, unnecessary filler, and more. So, since the first major story arc set after the time jump is already getting a much-needed retweak, why not continue with the one that comes immediately after?

THE Punk Hazard arc it has all the elements of being a legendary story arc. The location is unique, Caesar Clown is a memorable villain, Trafalgar Law is a captivating deuteragonist, and the plot also sets the stage for the upcoming Dressrosa Arc. If Toei Animation took all the changes they're already applying to the Fish-Man Island arc and applied them to the Punk Hazard arc, they might see the increase in quality that this arc has always deserved.

5 Dressrosa Bow

Anime's most infamous story arc can now get the remaster it desperately needs

Gear 4 Luffy attacks Doflamingo.

  • Duration: Chapters from 700 to 801 (Manga) Episodes from 629 to 746 (Anime)

There is no denying that the Dressrosa Bow it is the most infamous of the whole One piece anime, to the point that many fans attribute it as the only reason they switched to manga. It brings with it every single flaw that other similar bows had and multiplies them up to a hundred. It's extremely long (even longer than in the manga!), it's filled to the brim with intrusive recycled flashback sequences, and some of its fights are slow and uninteresting when they should be intense, emotional, and exciting.

One Piece: 5 villains who redeemed themselves

Not all One Piece villains remained evil. Here are five villains who became heroic in various ways.

Fans have been dreaming for years of a shortened and/or remastered version of the Dressrosa story arc that would eliminate its glaring problems, and some of them have even gone ahead and re-edited the anime story arc themselves. However, an official recut from Toei Animation might be just what this story arc needed. Ultimately, the Dressrosa Arc has a compelling storyline that features one of the best villains in the entire series: Donquixote Doflamingo. So it would be excellent to see it adapted into a more concise and exciting format.

6 Whole Cake Island arc

He just missed the train, so he should get another chance

Big Mom sings with her friends in Totto Land.

  • Duration: Chapters 825 to 902 (Manga) Episodes 783 to 877 (Anime)

Although it's nowhere near as bad as Dressrosa Arc, the anime version of the Whole Cake Island arc it still suffered from all the usual flaws you can expect from this show. This is unfortunate because most fans believe that Toei Animation upped their game with better visuals and smoother combat in the immediate follow-up arc, the Wano Country Arc.

It's quite unfair because the Whole Cake Island Arc also tells the story of the Straw Hat Pirates' encounter with one of the Four Emperors: Big Mom. Not to mention it had a fascinating setting, similar to everything preceded it, and featured several incredible fights, with the fight between Luffy and Katakuri being the most memorable of the entire arc. Ultimately, a re-edited version of the Whole Cake Island arc with the same animation quality as the Wano Country arc has the potential to become one of the best things to come out of the entire One piece souls.
