In a post on the official Instagram account, it was confirmed that the anime is getting a new project called Letter from a One Piece fan. It will adapt the content of a novel titled One Piece novel: Straw Hat Stories. The project will be released on October 20, 2024 and will be directed by Megumi Ishitani, who has become a well-known name in the industry.

Different stories will be present in the adaptation
The story of Monkey D. Luffy will be presented through the lens of a Marine soldier. He will present his perspective as he watches Luffy go to great lengths to save his brother Ace from certain death. This causes the Marine to question his relationship with his brother, who was also involved in the Summit War.
Zoro's story is quite funny as it sees him enter a bar in Dressrosa where he gets involved in a debate with some Navy soldiers about the strongest swordsman in the world. They argue about who is the strongest between Mihawk, Shanks, Ryuma, Vista and Zoro. Strangely, the Marines are unaware of Zoro's true identity.
Nami's story will strike a chord with viewers as it offers a glimpse into the life of a young girl from the Sabaody archipelago who is obsessed with pirate women. When he hears about the Straw Hat Pirates' reunion, he tries to find a way to see Nami.
In the case of Franky, the adaptation will focus on a girl who moves to Water 7 and starts running a bookstore. Every day he hears different stories about Franky from the locals, which increases his curiosity.
