Oda, over the years, has written some of the best backstories, some that make fans cry, and others that leave them completely speechless and in awe of the grandeur of things. Oda is a masterful writer and there is absolutely no one like him when it comes to writing incredible backstories. Oda adds further depth to Robin's flashback
- Nico Robin's journey after the Ohara incident was depicted
- Fans are starting to love Robin's flashback more than ever
Nico Robin's backstory was already one of the best ever One piece. It was shown to fans in the Enies Lobby story arc and there it was revealed that Robin was from the island of Ohara, which became the target of the World Government about 22 years ago. There were many scholars on the island of Ohara, and just like any other archeology scholars, their research often included topics of history. However, it was clear to them that the history they were studying had been invented and that much of it had been hidden by the World Government.
Ohara fought the world! – Saul
Naturally, they wanted to search for the truth and eventually realized that theponeglyphs contained the truth. On the island of Ohara, research was conducted relating to the Old Kingdom and its mysterious disappearance, as well as the creation of the World Government. News of this research broke out. However, the World Government attacked the island, crushing it to dust and completely wiping it off the face of the Earth. In the midst of all this, fans saw a young Nico Robin caught up in the turmoil. Having already been abandoned by her parents, Robin had to grow up in a tremendously harsh environment, where she had no one to truly depend on, despite being quite young.
To make matters worse, she was bullied by almost everyone and called a demon. If there was one thing that gave Robin comfort it was the fact that he hung out with other researchers and archaeologists, and that was simply because Robin loved to read. Robin was a genius, so much so that at the age of eight she had already become a scholar by passing a very high level exam. Robin had even learned to read theponeglyphs and his interest was in discovering the true history of the world, just like everyone else on the island and this is what led to the greatest tragedy of his life. Having gained a newfound family in the scholars of Ohara and a mysterious giant who washed up on the island's shores, named Saul, Robin finally began to live a happy life until everything came crashing down with the government's attack.
In the end, Ohara was completely wiped out, and Robin only managed to survive because Kuzan spared her life. Saul, his benefactor, was frozen to the bone on the island and left to die. All other scholars were murdered, and all the people of Ohara were mercilessly slaughtered by Akainu. Robin became the last surviving scholar on the island and had to live, from that moment on, with a bounty of 79 million berries on his head. Robin had to face countless betrayals, despite being just a child and living off scraps and this is where Oda added new depth to her story.
