Former MasterChef contestant Hayden Quinn’s Instagram feed is usually dotted with photos of incredible looking meals, but on Wednesday it was graced with something a little different.
Quinn and his new wife Jax Raynor shared a joint carousel of three pictures from their recent beach wedding in the US.
The couple looking stunning as they locked lips in the first shot.
A second photo showed the new Mr and Mrs Quinn smiling ecstatically on the sand as the sky turned pale pink behind them.
A final black and white shot showed the newly wedded couple waving to friends and family from the end of the aisle.
Quinn wore a classic black suit and white shirt with a bow tie, while Raynor wore a stunning tulle princess gown, complete with dainty asymmetric lace straps.
The wedding took place in Nantucket, an up-market holiday destination off the coast of Massachusetts.
The couple said their wedding was “pearl-themed” and inspired by their childhoods on the sand.
Mrs Quinn, a model and US native, grew up by Nantucket’s Galley Beach. Mr Quinn grew up on Sydney’s northern beaches before appearing on MasterChef first in 2011, then again on reunion seasons in 2012 and 2020.
“The Galley was the only place I wanted to get married,” Mrs Quinn told Vogue Australia.
“We both wanted everything to feel classic and effortless, and the Galley is such a stunning venue that we only needed to enhance its already beautiful decor.”
Mrs Quinn also shed light on their whirlwind romance, having met on New Year’s Eve in 2016 and admitting they wanted to get married on that very first night.
“We met on New Year’s Eve,” she said.
“Hayden was in New York on holiday with friends and I was living in the city at the time. Our meeting was very by chance, all orchestrated by a close friend of ours.
“We spent the next five days together, and by the end, we both knew that this was it. I packed up my life in New York and moved to Australia on February 1, only 32 days after we first met.
“We had been together for about six years when Hayden proposed. We had been talking about getting married since the night we met so we both knew it was something we both wanted.”
