Rivals of wonderDeveloper NetEase Games has revealed a brand new map of the intergalactic Empire of Wakanda for the upcoming shooter, offering a stunning setting for high-octane gameplay. The Kingdom of Wakanda is a fictional country in the Marvel Comics tradition created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and the sub-Saharan African location is the home of Black Panther. First appeared in Fantastic Four no. 52 in 1966, Wakanda is notably a center for the powerful metal Vibranium and Rivals of wonder tries to exploit the beauty and resources of the place.

Releasing on December 6, the third-person shooter will be a free-to-play experience for Marvel fans, boasting 6v6 PvP gameplay. The story at the center of the show will revolve around Doctor Doom's encounter with his 2099 counterpart, which causes multiple universes to collide in the Timestream Entanglement. Ahead of the game's debut, Net Ease recently previewed it Rivals of wonder' post-launch content plans for the year ahead, including season lengths, details on the battle pass system, and a confirmed debut of Season 1 for January 2025.

Additionally, fans thought the end of the Wakanda map trailer hinted at the arrival of a new burning character.
