Meanwhile, other players have improved their gameplay using Rivals of wonder mod to change hero models. This has ranged from adding different skins from Marvel comics and movies to adding Fortnite models of Captain America and Spider-Man compared to the default units.

However, Nexus Mods appears to have banned and removed the Trump mod because players are being directed to an error page that says he cannot be found on the site. Likewise, the Biden mod is also not searchable on the website.

Why was the Donald Trump Marvel Rivals mod removed?

In 2020, Nexus Mods published a blog stating that it would ban mods related to sociopolitical issues in the United States and encouraged users to report any mods that violate this rule. This announcement came around the same time as the highly contested election between then-incumbent President Trump and his challenger Biden, who ultimately won the race.

On social media, many Rivals of wonder Fans were not surprised that the mod was banned, especially pointing out that the Captain America model was not a good fit for Trump. Meanwhile, a select few seemed displeased that Nexus Mods is banning any political images from its site. This isn't the first time Trump has been used for a video game mod. While many have likely been removed from Nexus Mods, there are still mods available for Skyrim, Fallout 4AND XCOM2 which characterize the controversial figure.

On the other hand, Rivals of wonder developer NetEase Games has not addressed any issues regarding the use of character mods in the game, particularly those depicting controversial and/or political people. Since this is still a new game, NetEase has handled several issues, such as fixing any game bugs and removing false bans on Rivals of wonder players.
