8 Resources To Collect First In Lego Fortnite

With so many resources to obtain in Lego Fortnite, which ones are the best to go for when just starting out?

If you typically don’t delve into games that let you roll around like a frenetic little Sandshrew from Pokemon, though, you can always put a shield in your off-hand to block attacks or craft a crossbow to safely damage enemies from a distance. However, here are the hardest enemies in the game you need to be wary of.

Most of the enemies listed are found in later-game areas. Proceed at your own risk if you are concerned about spoilers.

7 Rollers

The basic, crab-like Roller is one of the first enemies you’ll ever encounter. Although they become much easier to deal with after you’ve acquired a few different upgrades and resources, they can be devastating in the early game, especially when you have a max health bar of three hearts.

Please do your best to avoid getting hit as they roll towards you, as that is Roller’s most damaging attack. Your best bet is to dodge to the left, right, or straight into them right before they’re about to hit you, since dodging makes you immune to damage during the animation.

6 Groups Of Fiesty Little Lego People

A group of Lego people armed with pickaxes and other weapons chasing the player through a grassy field.

It’ll typically only take 10 to 20 minutes of adventuring and exploring to happen upon a group of Lego people, either at one of their camps or close by if they happen to spawn near you in your travels.

In the earlier part of the game, sizeable groups of these strangely hostile Lego people can be quite overwhelming, especially when you’re being attacked by both melee and ranged weapons at the same time. Thankfully, you can always just run away and upgrade your gear if needed.

5 Desert Cave Skeletons

The Skeletons you have to deal with inside the hot, sandy caves of the Dry Valley biome can be a real challenge, especially when a bunch of them decide to endlessly chuck sticks of dynamite at you, forcing you to dodge more frequently and fight them for longer.

10 Games To Play If You Like Lego Fortnite

All the games you need to try if you like Lego Fortnite.

While it’s entirely possible to fight these enemies with a sword, the ideal gear to have when fighting these enemies is a crossbow, plenty of arrows, and quick-healing foods, like Snowberries. If you have to fight up close and personal, play it safe, be patient, and dodge often.

4 Snow Rollers

A snowy biome showing some trees, a rock, a large blue wolf, and a small, crab-like enemy covered in snow.

Unlike Sand Rollers, which can be instantly defeated if you lead them into a body of water, or explosive Rollers, which simply need to be run away from once they’ve started their detonation sequence, Snow Rollers have to be dealt with the old-fashioned way.

Hopefully, you won’t have to deal with other enemies nearby, or the annoying effects of the snowy biome’s cold temperatures, because Snow Rollers have plenty of health and hefty hits. You probably shouldn’t fight these enemies unless you have high defense and at least Uncommon tier gear, ideally Rare tier.

3 Snow Scorpions

A player holding a lit torch and a longsword fighting two snow scorptions with bright blue glowing eyes.

You probably remember those black scorpions from the first time you explored a cave. While these enemies usually aren’t that hard to deal with, even the desert ones that explode, the little, blue Scorpions you find in the snowy biome pack a real punch.

Since they’re so small and hit so hard, if you’re able to, you might as well save yourself some weapon durability, or more importantly your sanity, and simply run away from these enemies, especially if you’re in a situation where you’d have to fight more than one.

2 Snow Wolves

A player in a snowy biome about to be pounced on by a large, blue snow wolf.

Normal wolves aren’t a big deal by any means, since you can defeat them with four swings from a Longsword, and the ones you find in the Dry Valley biome are a bit of a challenge, but nothing you can’t handle. Snow Wolves, on the other hand, are enemies you should avoid being bitten by.

Fortnite: All POIs in Chapter 5, Ranked

Fortnite: Chapter 5 has a lot of great POIs, but which are the best places to land?

Hopefully, by now, you’ve developed a bit of a rhythm for how wolves typically attack and can dodge or block appropriately by recognizing the start of their bite animation. Fighting multiple Snow Wolves it’s a bit of a nightmare, but ultimately, good gear and a bit of patience are all you should need to eventually come out alive and well.

1 Brutes

Regardless of the biome you happen to find one in, Brutes are large, terrifying enemies that are both remarkably tanky and hit like a truck. Seriously, you can easily be defeated in one hit by these monstrosities, so practice utmost care if you decide to fight one, especially if you’re playing solo. Ideally, you’ll have some friends to help you out.

Fighting a brute with a melee weapon should be an absolute last resort, as it is hazardous to fight up close. If you’re dying to get one of those precious Brute Scales, circle this enemy from a safe distance to avoid its ranged attacks, and use a high-tier crossbow with plenty of arrows to whittle down its health.
