This allows Kakashi to summon a Susanoo and use powerful techniques like the Kamui Shuriken to keep Kaguya on her toes. His role may not be that important in this battle, but the way he proudly watches as Team 7 manages to seal Kaguya is an epic moment regardless.

As the jonin in charge of Team 7, Kakashi decided to test the mettle of a new group of genin by subjecting them to a challenging hopscotch test. It was a test to see if the trio could team up to defeat the son of the White Fang, only to fail spectacularly.
They all tried to fight Kakashi on their own, making it easy for Kakashi to take them out one by one. After ordering them not to feed Naruto, he is happy to see the team go against his orders for their comrade, finally accepting them as part of the team.

As Kakashi is pushed against the ropes, he manages to hold on until the point where Naruto and Sakura trick Kakashi by threatening to ruin a series he loves. One of the greatest anime battles of all time, the story surrounding Obito and Kakashi in the Kamui dimension is one of the most satisfying battles in the entire series. The battle switches between their young characters and their current ones, enhancing the emotions of this conflict.
While Kakashi could have probably emerged victorious, he changed his mind at the last second and avoided a fatal blow to Obito's heart with this Raikiri. However, it turns out that Obito intentionally allows himself to be harmed to draw parallels to Rin's murder, further hammering home the tragedy that led him down a dark path.
