If you're having trouble defeating the boss through regular means, there are a few ways to make the fight much easier (aside from simply lowering the difficulty). The absolute easiest way to unlock False Son ROR2 is to obtain the Artifact of Command and use the Railgunner on Rain difficulty.

As you head towards Prime Meridian, grab as many as you can Crowbar, armor-piercing shells and AtG missiles as you can. If you get any legendary drops, take the laser sight. Also, try to get some basic quality of life and survival items like Power Elixirs, Hopoo Feathers, and Runald/Kjaro Headbands to make the earlier levels easier.
