The chat in function Path of Exile 2 it's great for communicating with other players, sharing information and connecting. While the game can be played alone, you can form groups of up to six people and play the entire game with your allies.

You can link items to chat whenever and wherever you want, just make sure there are no monsters around that could attack you while you are in the character menu. To link items you will need to have the chat menu open:

Open the character menu.
Look in the bottom left corner of the screen for the “Turn chat on/off” option.
With the chat menu open, scroll to your inventory and hover over the item you want to link.
Select the, “Link to chat” button located at the bottom of the screen.
Click the chat bar next to type your message and send it, with the item linked to the next message you send.

Once linked to a message, you or other players can hover over that message to get all of that weapon's stats. Linking items to chat it simply puts them on displayand you shall not market them or dispose of them in any way. You will need to link items to each message individually, even if you want to relink the same item multiple times.

Make sure to send a message in global or local chat to ensure other players actually see your message.
