You can link items to chat whenever and wherever you want, just make sure there are no monsters around that could attack you while you are in the character menu. To link items you will need to have the chat menu open:

  • Open the character menu.
  • Look in the bottom left corner of the screen for the “Turn chat on/off” option.
  • With the chat menu open, scroll to your inventory and hover over the item you want to link.
  • Select the, “Link to chat” button located at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click the chat bar next to type your message and send it, with the item linked to the next message you send.


Once linked to a message, you or other players can hover over that message to get all of that weapon's stats.
