How to reduce Frostland team requirements
Frost Punk 2 throws you into a frozen post-apocalyptic world, where you must lead a city through harsh winters and make difficult choices to ensure the survival of your people. While your city is your primary focus, you will eventually need to venture into the unknown to scavenge for resources. To travel the Frostlands, you need specialized units, called Frostland TeamsThis guide explains how you can get more Frostland Teams to explore and colonize the frozen landscape in New Frostpunk 2.
How to Get More Frostland Teams in Frostpunk 2
Frostland Teams in Frost Punk 2 can only be recruited through Logistics districts. These buildings are responsible for sending cartography expeditions to Frostland and transferring resources between the city and its colonies.
The problem is that Logistics districts can only be built on old petrol stations. They are located on the outer edges of your settlement's territory, meaning you will need to use Frostbreak to reach these points before construction can begin.
Initially, you get Ten Frostland Teams by building a Logistics District, which is enough to start exploring the nearby areas. However, as your city grows and your needs expand, you will need to build more Logistics Districts to recruit more teams. You also have the ability to upgrade your Logistics Districts, which grants you 15 Frostland Teams by district.
An expanded logistics district comes with two building slots, where you can place Logistics bays. Each logistics bay has the potential to provide further 15 Frostland teams. With two logistics bays in an expanded district, you can get a total of 45 Frostland teams.
There are two types of logistics bays you can build Frost Punk 2:
Automated bay
Automated logistics bays rely on the use of machines to produce equipment, reducing the workforce to 500 units. These bays are more efficient and require less storage space. In addition, they generate an additional 15 Frostland teams.
Vanguard Bay
On the other hand, Vanguard Bays focuses on survival gear and training. They require 600 workers and can generate a maximum of 20 Frostland teams.
How to reduce Frostland team requirements
Alternatively, you can reduce exploration costs to minimize the number of Frostland Teams needed for exploration. This frees up some Frostland Teams, so you can send them to other areas for exploration. This is done through a couple of research projects:
- Scout Headquarters: The Survivalist HQ greatly reduces exploration costs and time, meaning you'll need fewer Frostland teams for your missions.
- Scout Training: Scout Scouts can also reduce the number of Frostland Teams required per expedition. They further reduce the threat level of the territory, ultimately reducing the chances of Frostland Teams getting lost or injured.
