Luma Island offers players a magical world to explore where there is a secret hidden around every corner. As you build your dream farm from scratch, helping NPCs in town, and mastering new professions, you'll gradually access new biomes as well. And these aren't just reskins of the same map. Each biome in the game is completely different with its own unique resources and mysteries to discover.
The Mountain is the second biome in the game that you can reach after finishing the Forest area. However, the steps to achieve it are not so clear. In this guide we will walk you through the steps to reach the Mountain biome Luma Island so you can continue your great adventure without problems.

How to get to the mountain on Luma Island
To unlock the Mountain biome in Luma Islandyou have to repair the broken cable car in the city near the town hall. The resources necessary for this purpose are found in the Forest biome. Therefore, you will have to read that section before starting the repair.
There are two steps to reach the Mountain biome: repair the general store and repair the broken cable car.
Repair of the general store
We recommend starting by repairing the Emporium as it is the easiest task to complete. Talk to NPC Sophia at the General Store and she will ask for help in repairing the store.
Here are the resources you will need:
Name of the resource |
Amount |
How to get |
---|---|---|
Fiber |
5x |
Made at the simple workbench using canes |
Forest plank |
5x |
Made in the sawmill using forest wood |
Like the Repairing broken pet shopyou will need another set of resources to fully complete the repair. For the second batch of resources, here's what you'll need:
Name of the resource |
Amount |
How to get |
---|---|---|
Forest stone block |
15x |
Produced in the sawmill using forest stone |
Forest plank |
5x |
Made in the sawmill using forest wood |
Iron bar |
5x |
Produced at the Ore Smelter using Iron Ore |
Glass |
25x |
Made in the furnace using cane and charcoal |
After delivering the items, the Broken General Store will be repaired and you will be able to access the store. Afterwards talk to Sophia to get the rewards for repairing the general store. The general store contains many useful crafting materials that you will need later, but for now grab the cable for a cable car item.
Purchasing the Cable Car item for a Cable Car costs 20,000 gold.
Repair the broken cable car
Once you have the cable for a cable car in your inventory, you will be able to do this starts working on repairing the broken cable car. The resources you will need can be found in the forest biome. If you've explored the area fully, you should already have most of it covered. For the rest, you may need to make a second trip to the biome.
Here are the resources needed for this repair and how to get them:
Name of the resource |
Amount |
How to get |
---|---|---|
Iron bar |
10x |
Produced at the Ore Smelter using Iron Ore |
Silk rope |
25x |
Crafted at the simple workbench using reeds and spider silk (found by destroying the webs inside the temples) |
Forest stone block |
25x |
Produced in the sawmill using forest stone |
Forest resin |
20x |
Harvested by cutting forest resin bushes in the forest biome |
Cogwheel |
1x |
Found at the edge of the forest biome on an island in the beach area |
Cable for a cable car |
1x |
Purchased from the general store for 20,000 coins |
Luckily, unlike the general store, you don't need a second batch of materials to repair the cable car. Once you have all the required resources, you can interact with the broken cable car to repair it.
After repairing the broken cable car, you can ride it to reach the mountain and start your journey to the next biome of Luma Island. Make sure to upgrade all your tools before doing so, as this region is much more difficult than the previous one.
