Patch 7.1 for Final Fantasy14 has implemented a series of graphical adjustments based on community feedback, and in doing so, may have made the Warriors of Light want to change their appearance… again. It wasn't long ago that Dawntrail launched, prompting a mass character overhaul, for which Square Enix kindly included a way to get a free Phial of Fantasy.

How to get Fantasia Vial from Patch 7.1

To get your hands on a Vial of Fantasy for free, head over Old Gridania and talk to the Wandering Moogle TO (X:10.7 Y:6.4). A short conversation later, and you are now the proud owner of a Phial of Fantasy. No waiting, no missions, no payments.

This free Phial of Fantasy will only be available until patch 7.2 launches, so be sure to grab it while you still can.

How to Use Fancy Vials

If you want to change your character's appearance, simply use the Phial of Fantasy from your inventory, then exit the character screen.

You must unequip everything (except your weapon) before logging out as you cannot change appearance while your character still has equipment equipped.

At the character selection screen, select your character but do not log in. Instead, in the submenu, choose “Reedit Character” and you're now free to give your Warrior of Light the flare it deserves.
