Once you leave the Shadow-Cursed lands, it can be overwhelming to see what you can do in Act Three without much guidance. Rather than worry about all your quests, which will be completed as you go, you’ll want to find a good place to rest and blow off steam.

There’s a lot to do in Act Three, but one of the most notable locations is the Elfsong Tavern. Here, you can rent a room and challenge the local comedian.

You’ll find him behind the closed doors to the right when you enter. A sign will be right out front that notifies you of the contest. Head inside and speak to the man on the stage.

Harvard Willoughby will go first, then you’ll get the opportunity to best him with your superior wit. Here are the responses that work best when paired with Willoughby’s jokes:

Joke Answer

Your turn, Smart Stuff. Knock ’em dead! …But not literally, go me?

Willoughby the comedian, folks! Were his jokes good, or did he just smell funny?

Agh! Got me with an ancient jest that’s older than I am.

I tried sleeping with a dragonborn the other night, but it didn’t work out – he had a reptile dysfunction.

Win or lose, I’m stealing that one.

Our cleric tried to cast Healing Word on a ham, but it was already cured.

After you tell your jokes, there will be cheers and applause. Willoughby is impressed but asks you to leave before you steal his job.

Though there is no reward, you earn a bit of reprieve from the tension in Act Three and you get to crack some jokes.
