How to defeat invisible enemies in Stalker 2
Players encounter both invisible enemies, Bloodsucker AND Poltergeistduring the introductory mission “There and back” From Stalker 2: The Heart of Chernobyl. Fans of the series may have already immediately recognized these terrifying mutants, but others may have been surprised by their sudden appearance.
For higher difficulty modes, the following strategies will remain the same, but invisible enemies will deal more damage to players and take more damage before being eliminated. So make sure you have enough medkits and bandages to continue the battle.
How to defeat leeches
Of the two invisible enemies, bloodsuckers are the most difficult to deal with, as they are fast and deal a lot of damage with their claws. While ARs or SMGs work well, rifles will be the best weapon to take down these enemies, as the Bloodsucker attacks at close range.
- Try to spot the camouflaged shape of the Bloodsucker approaching you. It will be much easier to spot it on flat ground with no grass or trees blocking your view.
- Once it gets close, you will hear the sound of the Bloodsucker revealing its body to attack you. When this happens, you will have a split second to jump out of the way and dodge the attack.
- After jumping away, fire some shotgun shells at the creature. You will see his blood splatter, although he will return invisible.
- Try to keep an eye on the Bloodsucker's movements and shoot him as soon as he starts charging towards you. You will be able to damage it even if it is invisible.
- Try to damage him with a combination of AR and rifle, depending on the distance of the enemy. Damaging it enough will defeat the Bloodsucker.
How to defeat poltergeists
Unlike bloodsuckers, who can manifest their physical bodies before becoming invisible again, Poltergeists are a little different. They are not completely invisible, but mostly remain in the form of a gas cloud, attacking players by throwing objects at them with their telekinesis abilities. Anyone automatic weapons such as ARs and SMGs will work well on these enemies.
- In the area with a Poltergeist, you will start to hear the sound of objects being lifted into the air and ready to be thrown. This can happen even before you have spotted the creature itself. Jump out of the way at the last minute to avoid getting hit.
- Switch your weapon to automatic or burst mode and target the Poltergeist's gaseous form until it creates a wall of distant rocks and bolts.
- Track its movement to know where it will stop next. Keep your distance, because if you get close, it will pass through you and go to another part of the area.
- Head to where the creature has moved to and start cutting it down. Keep an eye out for objects charging towards you and dodge them before you get hit.
- Continue repeating the process until the Poltergeist is knocked down, revealing its true body.
This is how you defeat all invisible enemies Stalker 2: The Heart of Chernobyl. While learning their attack patterns can be a little tricky, with enough encounters you'll defeat them in no time.
