Event Egg Hatching

During the Out to Play Event, there will be a slight change to the possible Pokemon that are hatched from both 2 km and 7 km Eggs. If these two types of Eggs are acquired during the event window, you will have the chance to hatch Hisuian Growlithe from them.

The current Pokemon that are available from hatching these two Eggs types can still be hatched from these event Eggs.

This means that it is not a guarantee that you will hatch Hisuian Growlithe from them.

Free Timed Research

There will be Timed Research to all players that log in and play during the Out to Play Event, free of charge. To progress through this Timed Research, you will have to complete various tasks pertaining to exploring Routes and adventuring in Pokemon Go.

Completing these tasks will reward you with Hisuian Growlithe Encounters, Stardust, and other in-game items. Make sure to complete this Timed Research and claim all rewards prior to the conclusion of this event.

There will also be Paid Timed Research available during this event, titled Tails of Adventure: Paid Timed Research. This Timed Research will be available to purchase from the in-game shop, costing $2.00 USD.

Completing the tasks included in this Paid Timed Research will reward you with six Hisuian Growlithe counters, five Growlithe encounters, two standard Incubators, and a Super Incubator.

Again, even after being purchased, all tasks must be completed, and all rewards must be claimed before this event has concluded.

Field Research Task Encounters

Spinning different PokeStops throughout the Out to Play Event will have the chance of providing you with different Event Field Research Tasks, some leading to Pokemon encounters once they are completed.

Those that lead to these encounters will reward you with an encounter with one of the following four event-themed Pokemon:

  • Hisuian Growlithe
  • Hisuian Qwilfish
  • Hisuian Sneasel

Event Pokemon Showcases

Certain PokeStops will be hosting event Pokemon Showcases throughout the Out to Play Event. For these Showcases, they will require that you enter either Growlithe or Hisuian Growlithe.

With Pokemon Showcases often looking for the largest or smallest featured Pokemon, it will be beneficial for you to hold onto both Growlithe and Hisuian Growlithe that are particularly large or small.

This will allow you to enter into as many of these limited-time Pokemon Showcases as possible.

Entering Pokemon into these Showcases will give you the opportunity to earn yourself a variety of in-game rewards, providing you with better rewards for higher placement in these competitions.

Event Avatar Items

There will be a brand-new avatar item brought to Pokemon Go with the start of the Out to Play Event. This cosmetic item, the Hisuian Growlithe Wig, will be available to purchase from the in-game stop during this event, and even after it has concluded.

The Hisuian Growlithe Wig can be purchased from the in-game shop for 200 PokeCoins. These PokeCoins can be acquired either by keeping Pokemon in Pokemon Gyms or through direct purchase, costing $1.98 USD for 200 PokeCoins.
