Arrest of a civilian in the Ready or Not Dormitories map

The dorm map looks like RoN Mission Twisted Nerve in many ways. Both levels are set in a dilapidated building full of drug addicts and drugs are involved in one way or another. Expect to fight in very close quarters with little room for maneuver, but no discount the long corridor on the first floor.

  • Bringing order to chaos – Arrest or neutralize all contacts on scene
  • Save all civilians – Detain all unarmed civilians
  • Arrest 5 suspects – Detain suspects without killing them

As far as objectives go, Dorms resembles the typical police raid: go in, control the situation, pacify all threats and secure all civilians. However, the problem isn't the objectives, but the layout of the map.

The building is full of dark areas and holes in the walls from which armed suspects can hide and shoot. All those little deadly holes in walls in particular can be a big problem, as they decrease the effectiveness of tactical grenades. For this mission, it is advisable to bring protection and/or CS gas – have your pointer block incoming bullets, and if there are armed suspects in a room, throw tear gas inside. The gas should bypass the broken walls and hit anyone hiding behind them.

As always, if you carry CS gas with you, don't forget to wear a gas mask. Also, consider using a weapon with a scope for long-range shooting.

Dormitories ready or not Soft targets

  • Report drug paraphernalia

Thankfully, there's only one soft objective in Dorms, and that's it secure some drug equipment somewhere in the building. To find it, start at the south entrance, then go up the first flight of stairs in the long hallway. You should be able to see some sort of shrine after a short search. Head to the lectern to find a bong along with drug packets.

Gas load in RoN

As mentioned, ballistic shields and CS gas are great for this map, but as for the rest of your team's loadouts, you'll want to consider the following:

  • He wears heavy armor. This will allow you to rack up some extra shots in case you get stuck in cramped rooms or trapped in those long, open hallways.
  • Bring flashlights. This map is not dark enough for night vision, but faint enough to obscure your vision.
  • Choose non-lethal shots. If you're not using a beanbag or pepperball launcher, aim for the shoulders or stomach. Remember: you have to arrest five suspects.
  • Use hollow point ammunition. The suspects here are mostly unarmored and are easily stopped by HP ammo. However, it could lead to a higher mortality rate.
  • Bring tasers and pepper spray. Most civilians and suspects here do not respect the rules.
