Hawkeye is one of the strongest duelists you can play against Rivals of wonder. His ability to fire from a distance and one-shot any character who isn't a Vanguard makes him a terror, especially if the enemy Hawkeye has good aim.

Here's how to play Hawkeye in Marvel Rivals!
He's usually banned in ranked play, but sometimes Hawkeye escapes, meaning you're forced to develop countertactics against him. If you're frustrated playing against Hawkeye and looking for ways to stop him, this guide will ensure you're prepared next time.
How to counter Hawkeye
Haweye is a backline DPS, where he will often sit behind his allies and fire powerful arrows to one-hit his enemies. This means that trying to tackle him from a distance is not the best idea as he will win in the duel.
The best way to counter Hawkeye is to do so choose diving heroes (heroes who can fall from above, like Spider-Man or Venom) who will fight him at close range. Once he closes the gap to Hawkeye, he won't be able to use his charged attacks effectively, which puts him at a disadvantage. He can run away in some cases, but the heroes who can chase him are also good at countering him.
Furthermore, Flanking Hawkeye is also a great way to counter himas he will often be focused on shooting enemies who are behind enemy lines. However, a well-executed flank will make him uncomfortable, as he now has to look at multiple angles instead of just one, which will make his job much more difficult.
Choosing counterheroes is necessary, but you should also be able to pilot them properly if you want to take down Hawkeye. This means remembering basics like aiming, positioning, and skill rotations is crucial.
How to counter Hawkeye as a strategist
Countering Hawkeye as a strategist is probably the most difficult task to accomplish, as you are often tied to your team to heal them and provide support, which puts you at a disadvantage compared to the marksman.
However, the best way to deal with Hawkeye as a strategist is to pair him with a DPS unit. The best heroes to do this are Mantis and Snow Moon as both can stun Hawkeye. Mantis can put Hawkeye to sleep, while Luna Snow can freeze him, and your DPS ally can finish him off easily.
Additionally, Mantis' normal attacks hit hard if you manage to hit them in the head, which can also help if Hawkeye misses his shots.
How to counter Hawkeye as a vanguard
There are several Vanguards that can easily take on Hawkeye. The first is Venom as he can dive Hawkeye with his swing ability and start fighting him at close range. If Hawkeye tries to escape, Poison he can chase it too.
Venom's massive health pool, combined with his Symbiotic Resilience ability, makes it difficult for Hawkeye to take down the former. Furthermore, Doctor Strange and Magneto they are also great against Hawkeye as they have shields that prevent arrows from reaching your team.
Magneto can also deflect the damage absorbed by his shields towards Hawkeye, which makes it difficult for the latter to execute a proper game plan. Captain America he is also a good counter to Hawkeye as he can dive into the backline and rush the latter, despite being a rather mediocre Forward compared to the rest of the roster.
Groot is also a good counter to Hawkeye as he can place his barriers that block Hawkeye's line of sight. However, it can only work in choke points rather than on maps where there are multiple open areas.
How to counter Hawkeye as a duelist
When playing as a Duelist, you have several options for dealing with Hawkeye. The two best units to do this are Spider-Man and Psylocke as both have immense dive potential and very high damage that can easily shut down Hawkeye.
In fact, Spider-Man can even stun Hawkeye with his Spectacular Spin and Get Out of Here abilities, making it difficult for the latter to play. Psylocke doesn't have a stun, but she does have multiple dashes in her kit and uses will actually confuse Hawkeye as he will miss all of his shots. Both Spider-Man and Psylocke are extremely powerful at flanking as well.
Iron Fist he is also a strong counter to Hawkeye as the former's close-range abilities, combined with various defensive tools such as Harmony Recovery, Dragon Defense, and Chi Absorption, force the latter to flee the battlefield. Star-Lord he's also quite good as he can dive quite well and if paired with a Strategist, he can shut down Hawkeye quite quickly.
If you feel confident, choosing Hawkeye to counter him may be an option. If your aim is better, you can shoot the Hawkeye enemy in the head and stop him, thus asserting your dominance over the map.
