With so many games, they’ve gone through just as many iterations in style, too. From the sorter, more focused early games to the sprawling open-world RPGs of the more recent entries. As such, there’s a pretty wide gap in how long it takes to complete each of them. Let’s check just how long.

With almost yearly games since the series’ inception back in 2007, there is a plethora of mainline entries to play through. Rather than mention each game one by one, we’ve listed each of them in this handy table, with these average times courtesy of HowLongToBeat.

As you can see, the hours vary quite a bit from game to game, taking their first big jump to 100 percent around Unity, and skyrocketing with Odyssey. Mirage, mercifully, comes in at a runtime much closer to the original Assassin’s Creed.

In total, you would need 298.5 hours to finish all the main games, and 825 hours to get everything they have to offer.

What about when it comes to spin-offs though? The Assassin’s Creed series has slowed down dramatically on single-player spin-offs from its earlier days, instead focusing on gacha games or other free-to-play endeavours. Earlier entries were more experimental and critically, much shorter due to being exclusively handheld entries.

Spin-off entries in the series are pretty stagnant overall, averaging six hours for the main story, and around 15 for all extra content. Identity stands as the outlier here within an exceptionally short story, and exceedingly long completion time due to its grindy nature.
