How Harry Osborn is the crux of the entire story of Marvel's Spider-Man

Marvel's Spider-Man it immediately immerses players in the action with a siege of Fisk Tower, and while Peter Parker has already been Spider-Man for eight years at this point, he's incredibly humble in the opening sequences. Marvel's Spider-Man flourishes when immersed in the original narrative, though many of these moments lean heavily on comic book influences like Mr. Negative and Devil's Breath, and it's not until Marvel's Spider-Man 2 that the true nebulous character of the narrative is fully revealed. Players learn everywhere Marvel's Spider-Man that Harry Osborn suffers from an illness and that his father, Norman, does everything he can to cure him.

Norman Osborn can be obnoxious whenever he's facing the public, especially when he has the opportunity to bash a quietly enraged Doctor Otto Octavius. However, he is clearly deeply upset by his son's condition and is probably still grieving the loss of his wife. Harry is then released from his stasis chamber Marvel's Spider-Man 2which consequently unleashes an alien symbiote. As such, Harry is the root of every major story development in the Marvel's Spider-Man series and Norman's wild attempts to cure him are at least partly responsible for the multiple main antagonists that have appeared.

Harry Osborn is a tragic character at the heart of Marvel's Spider-Man

Not unlike many classic Spider-Man stories, the Osborns are the focus of Marvel's Spider-Man franchising. Insomniac weaves this story together in an intriguing way, as neither Harry nor Norman are particularly bad people. Norman simply tried to heal Harry while Harry tried to “heal the world” in honor of his mother, but it is through their actions that calamity and conflict arose in two of the three countries. Marvel's Spider-Man games so far:

Norman was only developing Devil's Breath (or GR-27) as a means to cure Harry Marvel's Spider-Manalthough it is incomplete and Otto takes possession of it to wield it as a biological weapon.
The symbiote bond with Harry was a means to cure him or at least keep him in stasis while other solutions could be discovered, but his parasitic hive mind wreaks havoc in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 once Harry is released and the symbiote briefly attaches itself to Peter.
Norman asks for the G-SERUM at the end Marvel's Spider-Man 2 it's yet another attempt to cure Harry and will no doubt result in a Goblin adversary of some kind, be it Norman, Harry, or someone else.

Harry has always been selfless, as demonstrated in Marvel's Spider-Manresearch stations e Marvel's Spider-Man 2of the Emily-May Foundation. There will be a new popular edition of the EMF outside Peter's garage waiting for Harry if he can recover Marvel's Spider-Man 3but with how many times Norman failed to save him, it seems that Harry is doomed to a sad fate that his father was only able to delay for so long.

In any case, there would be no Devil's Breath outbreak or symbiote invasion if it weren't for Harry's illness, and that same illness is guaranteed to catalyze anything. Marvel's Spider-Man 3The plot also revolves around this.

Norman Osborn's decline precipitates a Green Goblin in Marvel's Spider-Man 3

If Norman experimented on Harry with the G-SERUM, there is a high chance that Harry could become another evil character in Marvel's Spider-Manthis time with a glider, pumpkin bombs and an armored suit. That said, doubling Harry as a villain would be weird and would abuse the character more than he already has.

Norman's intentions are sincere, but Harry is more of a lab rat than anything else now. However, there's no logical reason why Norman should take the G-SERUM instead, and if he becomes Green Goblin hopefully there's a decent explanation.
