My Academy of Heroes the manga ended recently and fans definitely loved the journey until the end. While the main story concluded with chapter 440, Horikoshi also gave fans another bonus chapter, namely My academic world of heroes chapter 431, focusing on the numerous characters after the 8-year time jump following the Final War. Fans got to see relationships develop, like the one between Deku and Ochaco, among many other things.

It's safe to say that Horikoshi himself enjoyed the trip My academic world of heroes to the utmost. This is reflected very well in his message at Jump Festa, where he basically went on to confirm that he misses the characters more than anyone else and that current plans to My academic world of heroes we'll probably see it continue in various ways.

This war featured major battles that included My Hero Academia's most notable characters, and in the end, the Heroes won. All For One was permanently eradicated and Shigaraki ended up dying, much to Deku's regret. More importantly, Deku lost the power of One For All and, at the same time, managed to bring peace to Japan.

Fans also got to see an 8-year time jump, after which it was revealed that Deku was a teacher at UA, while all his other friends were now Heroes. Deku was also given a Hero costume, and by using this costume's power, he was able to become a Hero again. In the last panel of My Hero Academia chapter 430, fans saw all the Heroes restart, and it was certainly exciting to see.

Fans also got My Hero Academia chapter 431 with the release of the final volume, and this part of the story focuses on the budding relationship between Deku and Ochako, who are now officially confirmed to be dating. My Hero Academia had one of the biggest stages at Jump Festa 2025, and it's safe to say that this series has a lot of exciting projects announced here. But the most important part that many fans may have missed was Horikoshi's message. At the end of this message, he stated that My Hero Academia will continue. Here's what Horikoshi said in his message.

It's December and much colder now. I hope everyone is still as good as before!

The My Hero Academia manga has ended. Thank you for encouraging me and reading the series all these years. And even if you didn't root for me but still read the manga, I will always be forever grateful.

Since the manga actually ended, I've grown to love these characters a lot more than I thought I would, and it makes me feel empty knowing the series is over.

However, I have a lot of lighthearted illustrations and “shouto” (katakana for the word “short”) manga that I'm working on at the moment, and I'm spending some blessed time doing that instead.

Ah, by “shouto manga” I don't mean “Shouto Manga, aka Todoroki-kun manga”, I mean actual short manga panels.

I also revealed a new illustration for the Genga Illustration Exhibition taking place next year, and I might work on MORE PLUS ULTRA illustrations as well. I hope you enjoy them when they are revealed!

Plus the anime still has another season left. When the first season aired, I honestly had no idea it would last this long. And we will also have a Vigilantes anime! I can't wait to cheer them on with the rest of you too!

Man, this message ended up looking like something I wrote in my notebook.

I really want to watch the series again and share more thoughts about it, but I think I'll plan to include it in the Vigilantes manga volumes later.
