Guide to all Saurian abilities – Genshin Impact

There are many things that Genshin Impact can improve to make the game better, for example by adding rides for faster exploration. While players didn't exactly have rides when Natlan fell, the developer ensures that exploring Tierra del Fuego won't be a hassle by including exploration mechanics.

This new system comes with the assistance of adorable Saurians. In version 5.0, three of these Saurians become available, Tepetlisaurus, Yumkasaurus, AND Koholasaurus. Here's an overview of what each Saurian does to ensure you can solve every puzzle in Natlan.

Updated December 31, 2024 by Nahda Nabiilah: Saurians in Genshin Impact are not only crucial to the people of Natlan, but also to the Travelers. While citizens of the War Nation are known to bond with the Saurians of their respective tribes, Travelers can inhabit these creatures and borrow their powers. This will help players explore Natlan with ease and solve some Saurian-exclusive puzzles. There are some obvious abilities for some Saurians, but each also has unique characteristics that aren't too obvious. This article has been updated to include the two new Saurians released in version 5.2.

Qucusaurus Abilities in Genshin Impact

The main feature of Qucusaurus in Natlan is flying. This tribemate of the Flowerfeather Clan is known for his bond with the group's warriors. Here are all the things a Qucusaurus can do:

• Jump to start floating and gliding. Use phlogiston to stay upright without losing altitude.

• Destroy solid phlogiston crystal stone targets.

• Enter the Phlogisto wind tunnel.

• It floats on gaseous phlogiston.

• It consumes lumps of gaseous phlogiston and creates phlogiston currents.

Iktomisaurus Abilities in Genshin Impact

The following are the things Iktomisaurus can do Genshin Impact:

• Absorb the Night Spirit graffiti and place the Night Spirit bodies.

• Activate the Night Spirit Seals.

• Activate the ancient engraved rings.

• Jump softly.

• Use special elemental sight.

Tepetlisaurus Abilities in Genshin Impact

Tepetlisaurus is the Saurian that resembles the Element Geo in Genshin Impact. They share their abilities with the Children of Echo, such as Kachina. Here's what you can do with Tepetlisaurs:

• Dig into the ground and “climb” walls and cliffs.

• Enter cracks (red holes made of solid phlogiston) and quickly pass through walls.

• Unearth hidden objects using their pulsating terrain attack.

Tepetlisaurus will help you a lot in getting around Natlan as Tierra del Fuego is full of large cliffs and valleys. Kachina is also a free character in Genshin Impactso you can always include it in your team if you plan to go up and down the mountains.

Yumkasaurus Abilities in Genshin Impact

Yumkasaurus resembles the Element Dendro in Genshin Impact. They are close to the Scions of the Canopy, like Kinich. This Saurian has the following abilities:

• Hook their tongues onto the Coilgrass Seals to move quickly.

• Activate the spiral grass's special seals to create a platform for it to rest on.

• Grab items like Flamegranates and Relay Balls, then store them in their mouth.

• Throw objects after catching them.

• Pull an object with a specific grappling hook.

Coilgrass seals are basically four-leaf seals, but this time only certain characters and lizards can use them. If you don't have Kinich, you are forced to always keep an eye on Yumkasauri to hook a Coilgrass Seal.

It's a nice downgrade since Sumeru has no limitations when it comes to using these seals, but don't worry, as the Saurian is always nearby if you need the creature to solve puzzles.

Koholasaurus Abilities in Genshin Impact

Like Saurians of the Spring People, Koholosaurus inherits the Hydro theme Genshin Impact. Koholosaurus can do these things:

• Swim safely in liquid Phlogiston.

• Travel the Spiritways.

• Use Jet-Set vortices.

• Discover the engravings and writings of phlogiston.

• Destroy Flowlight targets.

Swimming outside Fontaine is probably one of the worst experiences Genshinas you are limited with the stamina bar. This is why characters like Ayaka and Furina come in Genshin Impact they are very favored for walking on water. In Natlan, not only using Koholosaurs, you can also use characters like Mualani to explore areas surrounded by water.
