Genshin Impact version 5.2: Flower-Feather clan losses explained

Genshin ImpactThe Natlan chapter showcased the vibrant attractions of the Pyro region, as well as the equally fiery personalities of its citizens. Located in western Teyvat, Natlan has six major tribes that oversee the land and dragons that roam the region. As the story progresses, Genshin Impact it will probably continue to show the different areas and characters of the tribes.

One of the Natlan tribes is the Flowerfeather Clan, founded by Lianca and Menilek and is the home of the Qucusaur Riders. As of now, Genshin Impact introduced the playable character Anemo 5-star Chasca of this tribe, but some leaks already suggest important characters that could appear in version 5.2.

When will the Flower-Feather clan arrive in Genshin Impact?

The Flower-Feather clan will officially debut in Genshin Impact Version 5.2, launching on November 20th. This will also mark the release of the 5-star characters Chasca and Ororon. The first is one of the Peacekeepers of the Flowerfeather Clan, who often resolves tribal disputes and takes part in the Night's Watch Wars. She was also raised by a group of Qucusau after her parents abandoned her in the wild. Meanwhile, Ororon's role is still unclear, but Genshin Impact fans speculate that he might be an unexpected character to watch out for in version 5.2 and later.

NPCs rumored for version 5.2

A leaker named JoQa recently shared designs of the unnamed leader of the Flower-Feather clan, who wears a patterned headdress reminiscent of the Saurians of Natlan. The chief could be a key figure in Archon Quest of version 5.2, who could help the Traveler navigate the various corners of the village.

THE Genshin Impact Wiki also mentions members of the Flower-Feather clan known as “Wingless”, a group of people who fail the exam to become a Qucusaur Rider. It is implied that the Wingless are treated poorly in the village, leading them to leave the Flowerfeather Clan and find work in other tribes. This group may appear as NPCs in version 5.2.

A glimpse of the Flower-Feather clan's home

Since the Flower-Feather clan's village is located atop the towering mountains of Natlan, players expect elevated areas in the new location. This appears to be the case based on a leaked clip from Flying Flame, which showed platforms suspended in the air and balloon-like devices.

Possible Qucusaur sightings

Qucusau are a type of flying dragon from Natlan, and members of the Feather-Flower clan are able to bond well with them. Since the beginning of the Natlan arc, Genshin Impact players have encountered numerous Qucusaur enemies in the region, such as the Tyrant Qucusaur Goldflame. It is possible that the Flower Feather Clan has domesticated Qucusau that players can interact with or even ride.

  • Tyrant Qucusaur Goldenflame (aka Holawaga Ngoubou): A normal boss challenge that can be found on Huitzli Hill in the Basin of Countless Flames, which drops the Mark of Binding Blessing upon defeat.

Considering that members of the Flowerfeather Clan are supposedly known as great fliers, it is likely that they roam Natlan on Qucusauurs. There were previously rumors that the Pyro region could introduce an exploration mechanic involving dragon mounts, which could also tease the possibility of flying around the region. Genshin Impact characters can already transform into Tepetlisaur Whelps and talk to adult versions of him, so the next update could introduce a unique way to interact with Qucusaurs.
