Genshin Impact released the teaser for Citlali's story, highlighting her personal struggles with immortality. Even though the Natlan era is only just halfway through, fan favorites have already established themselves Genshin Impact community. While Mavuika's popularity was secure, Citlali's rise to stardom was entirely a surprise. Although she made her first appearance during the Ignition teaser for Natlan, Citlali won the hearts of Genshin Impact players in version 5.1 during the Archons mission.

Part of Citlali's charm is her unapologetic, larger-than-life personality. She is both a legendary shaman of Mictlan and a reader of Inazuman light novels.
