Gojo has always been the most popular character in Jujutsu Kaisen, that of Gege Akutami

manga.

As many fans know, the series concluded in late 2024, and the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen followed a few months later, around Christmas, on December 25, 2024.

On the occasion of the release of the final volume of the manga, Gege created this illustration of Gojo Satoru. Fans can see it here:

The illustration features Gojo in his previous design in the series, unlike the one he was seen wearing in the final arc of JJK. The illustration is dated 12.24.2024, Christmas Eve, i.e. one day before the release of the final volume.

Although Gojo was illustrated on the occasion of the release of Jujutsu Kaisen final volume, which would be volume 30, Gojo doesn't actually appear in the volume other than in flashbacks. In fact, Gojo died in chapter 236 in his fight against Sukuna.

However, it makes sense that Gege would draw an illustration of Gojo, as he is one of the main reasons why Jujutsu Kaisen became as popular as it is today and has a huge fan base.

In addition to the final volume of JJKGege released a 16-page epilogue for fans, adding some short stories covering some characters. While some had theorized that Gojo would appear, fans were disappointed to hear that he was nowhere to be seen. The closest thing was to Gojo being mentioned by Nobara, who he asked to reconnect with his mother.

The latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
